@dblemn The u.s. military uses these types of large binocolucrs or something like that to get accurate info on where the target is and how to set up to mortar to hit the target. The 120mm mortar like the on in the video has large fins compared to the 60mm and 81mm mortars, So the 120mm round does not spin in flight keeping it on target. They also have sights mounted on the side of the mortar. So they are pretty accurate.
My dad was in the Marines, 1981 - 1984, and he was a mortarman. 'Cause of him I want to serve and be a mortarman in the Marines, or maybe a tank crew member.
@ImOnOne2 My great uncle served in Vietnam. He was a medic. He got 2-3 Purple Hearts, and he died a couple years back but I inherited his gear. My older sister Cassie's in the AIr Force, too, at Little Rock AFB. She's SSGT rank. Good luck at training
Thanks... my grandfather is 85 years old, he was in WWII, and Korean War.. plus in the cole mines. He's had black lung, lung cancer, i mean he fucken talks with a voice box. He was Army and AirForce... i think i was made for this shit.
@Spev142 They work with all standard infantry equipment. Mortars are not used as much in Iraq and Afghanistan as they have in previous wars so a lot of the 0341's are integrated more into mobile assault platoons or into rifle companies. I was an 0341 I spent time on just about every machine gun we use such as the 50 cal, m240, m249, and M19. I also got to train a little with C4. We had an assaultman in my truck so we carried the javelin missile system and would use its siting system at night
what kind of crap is that, no one holding the bipods, everyone running arond like idiots with no clear gunner or a-gunner, sad how the USMC mortars have changed in so short a time.
not everybody can do good for their country only the few and the brave, many have tried but only few survived, so stand fast be the best we can, and find out for yourself whats behind in that title that keeps them moving on

When did Marines start using 120s? US Infantry only had 120s when I was in from 98-02.

My recruiter was 0341 in Fallujah. What other equipment do these guys work with other than mortars?
