I know of people who i went to highschool with and cared for who commited suicide or attempted. Its a serious problem in this world. We need to love the ones we know and care for them and educate them about coping skills that fight depression :(

This isn't my favorite band bit it is my cousin jeremys. When he was 17 he found out that the guy he grew up with wasn't his real dad. Its pretty fucked up. I just watched the movie PJ20 and Eddie Vedder and my cousin have a lot in common. Now I know why he loves these guys so much. But now he is homeless in Arizona on heroin. I really hopes he pulls through cause he is just the coolest fuckin guy.

@Lastshadow94 I disagree, Vedder and Cobain's voices are very, very different. I think Cobain's voice is no short of a masterpiece. Vedder is tremendous and absolutely excellent. But Cobain wins over Vedder anyday. Besides, Kurt hated being popular. Kurt was absolute punk. Vedder was more a hard rocker and a smooth vocalist. Both great, but Cobain > Vedder.

This song makes me sad, I had this neighbor who I grew up with where everyone in the neighborhood made fun of him. He wasn't all there in the head and he didn't have the best parents in the world let alone a positive role model. Really makes me repentant.
This song is like you're favourite food in your favourite venue with your favourite company whilst wearing your favourite clothes whilst reminiscing about your favourite abscent loved ones...for me...it just ticks every box.
Favourite Pearl Jam tune hands down...followed closely by Even Flow neck and neck with Alive...infact...best just to say every song on TEN.
this song is something special, unique in the music. Think about it:, you might like other PJ songs better, but there is really nothing similar to this song anywhere! After the last "Jeremy spoke in class today", you feel all the pain and the fatalism of what is going to happen. I get chills when Eddie shouts his soul out in the end, you feel that he's singing like he has been very close to what poor Jeremy did..

@Lastshadow94 I disagree, Vedder and Cobain's voices are very, very different. I think Cobain's voice is no short of a masterpiece. Vedder is tremendous and absolutely excellent. But Cobain wins over Vedder anyday. Besides, Kurt hated being popular. Kurt was absolute punk. Vedder was more a hard rocker and a smooth vocalist. Both great, but Cobain > Vedder.

this song is something special, unique in the music. Think about it:, you might like other PJ songs better, but there is really nothing similar to this song anywhere! After the last "Jeremy spoke in class today", you feel all the pain and the fatalism of what is going to happen. I get chills when Eddie shouts his soul out in the end, you feel that he's singing like he has been very close to what poor Jeremy did..
