But i read somewhere that julie plec said that htere was going to be some more delena because stefan is going to screw things up! At least i think that is what i read! Everything about this scene is perfect: the emotion behind damon's words (especially when he says: "You'll have a better life, Jeremy"), the way elena looks at his, completely broken and the fact that she is willing to let her little brother go, who she loves so much, so he can built a new life away from all that pain and trouble, and, finally, the song, which suits the scene perfectly. I was almost crying and believe, I don't usually get emotional on this kind of scenes.

I am a Delena fan and I ship them unconditionally but I also think people are so focused on their relationship that they end up not enjoying the other scenes, some of which are amazing and have a symbolic meaning. For instance, in this episode, the scene that I liked the most was when Damon compelled Jeremy (even though I know that, as a delena fan, I was supposed to prefer the kissing scene).

I miss a hug at the kitchenscene. Elena almost has a mental collapse and needs Damon and I really think she needs that Damon takes her in his arms that she can cry. I really love this "Damon holds Elenas Face" thing but in this scene she needs more than that. Thats what I think. First it really looked like she is breaking down and then she calmed down too quickly...

You ever notice how Damon is alaric's go to guy and Jeremy sort of not looks up to Damon but they kind of have this weird bond with each other.. i think Jeremy was the first person Damon was ever truly open with like when he was in the fire with anna and vice versa.. and Elena always knows Damon is going to save her and they are always on the same page with eachother... its like the four of them are a family that last scene was so special and heart warming.
