Lol nice video, it's good for beginners to use but it isn't a very good way for designing templates. It's kind of funny that you would send me this because I run a website designing company, upfrontmypc. com . Check it out ;)
Why would I want to learn how to make a website? I own my own already. Completely, 100% custom coded using PHP, and my site doesn't use table, nor do I design my templates in Photoshop. I use CSS. So please do not send anymore messages to me. Thanks.
I can tell I'm going to like this series a lot better than what I watched a few weeks ago because it starts from absolute zero all the way to the top.
So based on what you've said so far about the DW 1024x768 thing... does that mean that if I were to design the site as the resolution you did on this video, it will expand to 720p dimensions in dreamweaver? By the way, I started the canvas size in photoshop as 1400x1900 already and the content and menubar and everything is guide lined to 1024x1900. Is this still okay once I import it to dreamweaver to use 720p option?because the design I made is really complex that I'm not able to make it again.
@iExD if you want the resolution to be 1024x768 you have to make the photo in Photoshop 955x600 which when transferred to DW will be 1024x768. if you already have the image in DW just open it with Photoshop and re-size it.
@TheResourceKid Well, in my situation, the design is still in photoshop. The canvas size is 720p, but the webpage itself which is going to be viewed is guidelined so it's in the center with a resolution of 1024x1900. I haven't touched DW yet.
Photoshop and Dreamweaver are for tools. Also, if you truly want to make a 'good' website pick up a book on PHP & jQuery. CSS is fairly simple. Also most of those websites adjust to your screen size and re-size divs (which is what you can do in jQuery). It's never a good idea anyway to slice a shit ton of images and use them as a 'website'.
This is awesome...thank you so much for posting this!!
