Still having trouble looking for a cheap monofin but I'm not giving up! Thank you again! :D

  • Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much! I've been having a lot of trouble looking for cheap swimmable mermaid tails online but there aren't really any then I thought about making it myself, because I'm not new to sewing, and adding in a monofin but I had no idea how to put the monofin in. THANK YOU! I can't wait until the day I can swim with a mermaid fin! Thank you again!!! xx Keep being awesome! :P

  • @starthunderdestiny If there's a SCUBA supply store near you, then yes. If you're pretty landlocked, then probably just online.

  • I really wanna make one but I dont know were to get all the stof

  • how much did u spend on the monofin and material?

  • @PolishCutie93 It's a Finis.

  • @MrazzleDazzleEm one last question, im looking into the fabric i want and it says its 3 feet per 1 yrd.

  • i love how you did that but how do you no how to make one

  • @dyamond96: she probobly made it byanother vid or made it up... :)

  • where do you get the rubber?

  • @sarahdanelamb12 The Home Depot.

  • @MrazzleDazzleEm where do you get the monofin?

  • Well, I guess I'll probably have to buy it online, then, because I have absolutely nowhere near me that would need to seel SCUBA gear, because we don't have an ocean or anything. As for Joan Fabrics, that part will be easy.

  • I have 2 questions. 1: Do you know any actual stores that sell monofins, and, if so, do you have any idea how much they cost? And question 2: How much did that fabric cost?

I have a rather low budget, and I'd really like to have a mermaid tail.

  • @ngycgirlz If any stores would, it would be SCUBA supply shops, I would think. I got mine online for about $55. The fabric was, I believe, $5 a yard, and you should really only need 3.

  • Please make me one! I'm small

  • @campy191 if she wanted 2 make people mermaid tails she wouldn't of made this video

  • Please make me one! I'm small

  • @ibplover365 I don't think u would have to use blue but as long as u find the fabric and if it's in different colors then u could just buy whatever color suits u best

  • do you have to use blue plz respond

  • Thank you for the idea of how to make mine. But I have one qhestion. Do you have any tips for deccorating the tail or any other ways to possibly make one?

    Thanks,

    chimi

  • @chimiangelpro One cool thing I've seen done is people sew a dorsal fin onto the back :)

  • did u buy the monofin??

  • @gaychinlett Yup. I bought it from a SCUBA supply website. I believe it cost around $55 then.

  • im going to joannas 2morow, to get fabric, how much does it cost????

  • @Gigilovergirl I believe it cost about $4 a yard, but this was a few years ago.

  • wered you buy the fabric?

    i got the monofin,,,,

and how much was the fabric

  • You're such a sweety!

That was a good idea putting the rubber, Thank you for sharing!

I just made a mermaid tail for an underwater photoshoot, and found all these videos afterwards, I wish I had found this before!

  • How much fabric do you need to make a mermaid tail? 3 yards?

  • @MissHaruna1 About that, yes.

  • WoW The rubber is an excellent idea!

  • @MERMAIDGIRL8870

Where'd u but one? How much did it cost??

  • @ddougherty10 All supplies considered, around $100.

  • thx soo much for posting this,im making my tail soon and i had no idea how 2 get a more half moon shape,i was gonna originally try wires but the rubber is a much better idea thank you again:)

  • i like ur tail where do u live?

  • that was a really clever idea with the zipper at the end =D

  • you scare me :'S

  • umm.can you make me one.i dont have a monofin or a sewing mecheien email me nicolebella26@aol.com please i need one for spring

  • where did you you buy the monofin??^_^

  • @multiplymelollipop1 There are a few sellers. Try Finis Monofin on Amazon. That might help.

  • @multiplymelollipop1 A SCUBA supply website.

  • or u could not waste money get a ajama pants water resisntent cause they have them wear boths legs in one leg ut of the other then wear the mono fin by sewing the other leg fabric onto the water resisnt legs easier and cheaper

  • @Mermaidstella1 Yes, but that doesn't look as good. And why do they have water resistant pj bottoms?

  • You look really enthousiastic! ^^

I was wondering whether or not you're a real redhead, but I guess it doesn't really matter.

Thank you a ton for putting up these tips. The idea with the rubber was really clever. I might use your tips one (glorious) day when I decide to make my own tail. :)

  • omg i like your mermaid tail

  • OMG! thnx! i had been looking for vids of how to make a mermaid tail, by the way i love how you look with the tail.
