  • this is so fantastic! Thanks so much1!

  • This video is a treasure to me because I do not own a cable needle. And I wanted to try the twist stitch.

    Yup, a knitting noob ^^.

  • Brilliant!!!

  • Yay! I couldn't start my last project in the car because I forgot my cable needle. This gives me one less needle to have to keep up with. Thanks for a clear tutorial. Tinking was finally explained too.

  • Waiting for the video to load before it watch it ....Darn slow YouTube :(

  • This is awesome! Thank you!

  • Genius!!

  • Tinking, eh? hehehe i've heard it also described as frogging a lot... because when you go back in your knitting, you rip it, rip it.

  • Ive been knitting on and of since i was 7yrs old, im now 50yrs and never attempted cableknitting, after watching your video im going to give it a try and hopefully succeed, fingers crossed, thankyou

  • Mind = Blown

  • Oh my, this is great! Now I really need to concentrate knitting cables haha

  • Why couldn't I find this video before I bought a cable needle?

  • You are remarkable. Thanks for the gorgeous new stitch.

  • All I have to say is WOW and thank you.

  • Thanx really helped me great color yarn good lighting very clear not to brief or long great job keep making videos!

  • Faboo! I'm going to try this now!

  • It looks as if you're knitting the stitches at the beginnings and ends of each rows, but the stitches seem to come out as purl stitches. Am I missing something?

  • @demelzabunny1 Garter border, probably

  • love it

  • umm do i apply that same technique once or in every knew row of stitches??? sorry im kinda lost

  • @xXxReborn16xXx You have to cable every so many rows (always the same number). Let's say you work six rows in pattern, then you CF6. Then in another six rows you're going to have to do that again.

  • I finally learnt with this video!

  • TO FAST!!!!

  • Thank you for sharing. I am going to go and try this right now.

  • Great technique! Thanks so much!

  • Love the colour, what shade of pink is this? Can't seem to find it in shops... It's gorgeous!!

  • Thank you for showing this! I also appreciate you showing it while using the continental style of knitting.

  • wow that looks dagerous! 4:14

  • DomiKNITrix: Brilliant name! And the pink yarn: cute! You are great, the video was so well done and very helpful. Thank you.

  • I almost screamed when you pulled the stitches off of the needle. I have yet to relax while knitting, my biggest fear is dropping a stitch. Will try this technique on a swatch, cross fingers!

  • Great Video!! Well done!! :P

  • can you do a video on entrelac.

  • I just want you to know how scary this video was to me. I made an audible gasp when I saw those stitches not on a needle.. I'll have to try it sometime though.

  • so if I were to do the second alternative method for cabling, if it was C6B, you would insert the needle into the FRONT of the stiches (4,5,6) and if it was C6F you'd insert it into the BACK? is that correct? Or is there another difference? Thanks :)

  • I've watched a couple of cable stitching and this one is the easiest to follow. THanks :)

  • Great Video!! Well done!!

  • How long have you been a knitter? How did you learn to knit? Can you do a video on entrelac knitting please? Please respond back when you have the time, thank you.

  • i like how you carefully slide out the needle. I always tried to pull the 3 over, and it was a pain in the rear, and nearly impossible.

    Thanks.

  • I adore your book, i brought it before i even started knitting, i am hoping to attemp your red riding hoodie ( the reason why i brought the book in the first place ) I really love your blog also and am now thrilled that you're youtubing!

  • Thanks a lot for all your videos on intarsia and cable knitting. pleasure to watch.

  • ok thank you soooo much for this video you are saving me a ton of time fumbling around with cable needles

  • Ok I'm really glad you uploaded this, when i watch other people knit without a cable needle they just leave the first 3 stitches loose while they knit 4,5,6 I'm so glad there is a better way so I don't sit there watching loose stitches just waiting for them to pop
