  • ?? Where is arab gulf?

  • This appears to be a surplus Russian submarine, the windows in the front are a give away. Only Russians put windows on something that goes underwater at tons of atmospheres of pressure. They either bought it from Russia or they bought the plans, probably just bought the plans as most Russian subs are rusting in port or are in a stage of salvage.

  • I sincerely feel sorry for these beautiful souls inside a submarine for they will simply vanish into the abyss of the Arab Gulf.

  • @labyrinth75 lmao I AGREED.

  • @labyrinth75 Hey IDIOT. How well does a big nuclear attack sub work in littoral waters??? YOU ARE RETARDED, if you dont know anything about strategic planning, just shut up and dont comment on it because you just made a fool out of yourself.. Well 2 years ago you did, but you are fucking hilarious!!! Have you ever tried to find a sub in littoral waters!??! Didnt think so. Do you know how noisy littoral waters are with trawlers, tankers, pleasure craft? Makes it quite DIFFICULT to say the least!

  • Named 'Al Fathum Al Salin' translates to 'By the mercy of god we float', this ship boasts some of the most advanced features in suicide technology. A spokesman for the US Navy said 'Iran might face problems during the live fire exercises it has planned for late October', he added ' we will be watching closely and have our cameras with us too.'

  • English subtitles would be nice

  • @ Labyrinth75 ésto parece Una lata de sardinas ....

  • I'm an American, but I see no reason to see these submarines as anything but cool, because submarines are cool in general! Way to go Iran!

  • Not to worry......these Iranian subs are equipped with screen doors.

  • That looks like an old Kilo class. It's probably been updated since the Soviet days. Remember the battle of Salamis? big fat Persian ships got sucked into a small strait and couldn't manoeuvre while the Greek ships could because they were smaller and in their home waters. Add in dirty water and it could be interesting.

  • its nahang 1 submarine..

  • labryinth:

look who's talking? and you know what you are talking about? please do enlighten us on such anti-submarine technology that can detect battery running submarines with ease?

  • @maydayfire You are absolutely wrong. Diesel subs need to surface after several hours to recharge their batteries and replenish oxygen supply. Nuclear subs can remain submerged for months at a time. Diesel subs are loud and Iran has nowhere near the technology on subs as the US. You have no clue how much money we put into developing the most advanced radar, stealth and turbine.

  • @llamaslyr Modern disel-electric submarines (DPS) are capable to stay submerged up to 4 days, not severeal hours like you said. DPS even more silence then the atomic ones. The Russian DPS Killo has been called the black hole definitely not because they are noisy. And doesn't matter how much money you put into your war machines. The only thing that does matter is which an answer will be. In 2007, Chellenger 2 was penetrated with RPG-29 in front. Till that moment it was considering as impossible.

  • the sitting target are the americans with their oversize floating cities in the gulf (aircraft carriers). Dont feel sorry for these Iranians. Their sub is small, runs on batteries under the water hence it is very silent. So the smaller you are the more cloak you appear.

  • where is arab gulf? if you mean persian gulf its the place that we will grave americans.

  • Damet garm, kheili khob gofti.

  • @narehabako dont forget iran has allah an there side hahhhhhhhh

  • does this submarine actually submerge at all. we seem to see just before and then its back on the surface. we never actually see it go down or up.

  • look at 1:07

  • Good News

Iran's Next Submarine witch is called Taregh will be the same size as the Russian Kilo

Iran's Taregh Class is set to join Iran's Fleet in February along side Jamaran Class Destroyer

  • well I think that taregh is one of those kilo class subs that has gone through major upgrade and overhaul.

  • not likely.

  • This is not the Ghadir Submarine

This is a Russia SSK Kilo Class Submarine

Iran has 3 SSK Kilo Class Sub's

Ghadir Class is a midget Sub, only 20m in length it has a Green fiberglass bonded hull and its very Stealthy for harbor infiltration

Iran's Nahangh Class look more like this sub but its a lot smaller

  • who said it was ghadir?

it is the kilo class sub

  • Sorry i got your post mixed up with another that claimed it was the Ghadir Class

  • Not that there is anything wrong with the Ghadir Class

in fact the Ghadir Class is more suited for the Persian Golf

    &

Its a much bigger threat to the U.S. warships in the Persian Golf than any other Submairne in Iran's Arsenal
