  • no different with the beep test.

  • @efks180 beep test is continuous, yo-yo test you get a 5-10 second rest between each stage but the starting time is 11 second over 20 meters and back.

  • dico solo una cosa: questo test uccide!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • we do it but it non stop no stopping .. much harder

  • @murph277v

This is a recovery test....ie as the time inbetween the beeps get shorter you work harder and your recovery time (that pause at the end of the run)remains constant, this tests every individuals recovery time and the coach can see if the training he/she is giving the atheletes is going to plan and enable them to work on an individuals fitness for sport, this in itself is not designed for training but for testing, what you describe are shuttles, which are used to train for recovery.

  • @hazey58 well our teachers call it a fitness test

  • @murph277v It's not really a test of recovery it's for evaluation of physical performance more specific to intermittent sports (football rugby hockey etc...) than your standard Muliti-stage Fitness test (Bleep Test)

Type this into google if your interested: The Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test

A Useful Tool for Evaluation of Physical Performance in Intermittent Sports

It's a paper by Bangsbo et al. (2008)
