@alfredobrown, tienes razón, la salsa estructuralmente no permite interpretar la música cuando se baila como el WCS. Aquí se puede improvisar (esto sí es una coreografía) todo lo que se quiera a los verdaderos matices y ritmo de la música. También yo bailo salsa, pero me temo que el WCS es mejor, por mucho.

@Raldonado That's not really true. If the lead is really good at musicality (and the follow's good at reacting), there's a lot that can be done. Check out "Zee (Tze Yi) & Magna in Singapore"

And that's not even the best I've seen them do. Of course, when it's a slow salsa or a chacha, they have the time to do even more ("Zee & Magna Cha Cha at 2007 Malaysian Salsa Festival")

@Arrghigiveup, 1.- Pones el ejemplo de la mejor salsera en línea que hay en el mundo, alguien que se caracteriza por su gran talento de improvisación, pero Magna es un ejemplo sui géneris. Aún así, la mayoría de los pasos improvisados que se hacen en salsa son sueltos y Magna con sus mejores improvisaciones no supera a las que he visto en la mayoría de los que bailan WCS. 2.- Mi mejor ejemplo no son Jordan y Tatiana (son pareja) sino otros del común. La salsa se aprende con secuencias.

Lamentablemente no es un bailae tan original como muchos salseros creen. 4.- Te informo: no es chacha, sino chachachá. El afán de los norteamericanos de desarraigar el origen de este género musical cubano es más que acusado. Para terminar, Arrighi, estoy comparando los bailes desde su genio musical no tanto sus exponentes. Aún así entiendo tu reacción.
