  • @chyitaria Thank you so much!

  • how do you get your new growth dreaded?

  • @KatSoPoetic Well , as it grows and you do your retwists, it locks.

  • Your locks look amazing! I cut my hair o start growing it out natural for locks, but i didn't know how i wanted to go about it. But now i do. I like how they're the perfect size and shape. And they look really healthy.

  • @kiddslimfresh Thank you! Good luck on your journey.

  • hi where did u get your glasses at 2:36?

  • @qtpooh1832 Umm, that was several yrs ago but, I THINK it was lenscrafters...

  • BIG Question, what about fuzz, how did you handle that? Do you palm twist the new growth? sorry 4 all the quesions, I just like your locs and ready to start mine

  • @cqgmickey Thanks! I didnt even try to combat fuzz/frizz b/c I know that's all part of the journey. sorry, I wasnt much help w/ that reply..lol

  • Which do you think is better for starting locs with medium length hair, palm roll or two strand twists?

  • @cqgmickey I'll all about preference and maybe hair texture. For ME two strands were better b/c I'd been doing them for a long time and I liked the look of them on me.

  • how was that starting them with two strand, how does the ends look?

  • Beautiful! Thanks for sharing this has really encouraged me! I am only one month in (newly loced) and I am just bugg'n right now! After seeing your progress I am excited and focused again!

  • @mayatheyoungqueen I loved starting w/ two strands. Some of my ends are still not fully loc'd but, that just leaves lil curly q's on the ends..no biggie. I kinda like it actually.

  • @mayatheyoungqueen Thank you! You've definitely got to have patience. I remember in the beginning, I felt like they'd NEVER loc.lol Good luck on your journey!

Your texture is very close to mine, so at least I have some idea on how mine will eventually turn out. I am just over the one year mark of my loc journey, but not all of my hair is locked up as yet. I am enjoying this walk, even with the frustrations. Thanks for sharing and inspiring!

  • @gorissago Thanks!

  • i love how thick your hair is, even though your actual locs aren't that thick. beautiful!

  • @dina237 Thank you!

  • You have so much hair, in terms of density and I'm just wondering how long it must take to re-twist and if you do it yourself. But aside from that it is absolutely gorgeous and so are you, they look great on you.

  • @ShanteRoxxane Thanks so much! Yeah, my hair IS thick but, it doesnt take me TOO long to retwist on my own. W/o interruptions from the baby, it'll take maybe 1.5 hrs.

  • I love this!!! PLease tell me how to do one so that i can put one together!!!

  • @LocNation2010 Thanks! I used a movie program on my laptop and just added pics...

  • You're locks are gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like how she did the two strand twist method for locks. I think I'll get that method done on mine. I can't never find anybody that can do my hair right , and that's why I always take them out because I end not liking them. I like hers though and their very beautiful!!! :)

  • your journey was beautiful. i'm contemplating locing up, and i was wondering if the stage in the beginning was awkward and/or hard to style because of the length. also i've been hearing that you have to cut your hair before you loc up? true or false?

  • @ravensholst Did you do the two strand twists yourself? Also, did you always maintain your own locs? Did you blow dry your hair before you twisted them in two strand twists? Thank you in advance, I appreciate it. =)

  • @lamariposaamorosa I did start and have maintained my locs from the beginning. I never blow dried my hair, I would always band my hair to stretch it then twist from the stretched hair.
