@MrVikingOlav ok, you need to push one of the buttons on the left. it is one of the three above preview. (the blue button is preview) then it should say snare at the top. (might be another drum such as base 1 i dont remember) then go left by clicking the up button at the bottom until you are at tom 1. click the down arrow on the right of the screen and go to sensitivity. change it to about 60 or more and then go to tom 2 and do the same. i hope this helped a ton.
i have the pro im facing problems with my toms can u please help the prob is that they dont sound like tobs if i hit it i have to hit the tom in the exact center and thats impossible for a drum roll
technically it shows a bit, but man, the samples on the kit sound horribly mechanical. I'm sure tweaking will improve it but I've never heard a drum module come anywhere near say, Superior Drummer. For that I think there'll always be an advantage to bringing a laptop or rackmount PC to gigs. I'm gonna get the studio but mainly because it's worth getting the extra pads and the DM10 has a better display than the Trigger IO module.
im thinking of buying this, and i want to buy some double pedals, i've never had them so i was wondering if anybody could tell me if they would fit on this kit¿? cus i dont wanna buy them and then find out i can't even use them
@iWantTheLyrics No more than a real kit - you can break sticks playing any kit, and if you get an e-kit with mesh heads it's the same as an acoustic kit so down to the players style. Our drummer has a Roland V-Drum and broke the tip off a stick last night, but it's very rare and nowt to do with the kit itself!
Can someone tell me? You know these real looking cymbals? do they actually make alot of noise by themselves? I live in an attached house and i'm upgrading from a DM5 and like the real looking cymbals but don't want them if they are going to be so noisey?
Played this kit Saturday afternoon. I loved how it looked. The drums felt OK. Bass drum felt like my pedal was hitting a brick wall. I thought the bass drum beater was wood, but it was a Tama Iron Cobra felt tip beater. THAT sucked! The taps on the drums would be bothersome if you are in an adjacent room playing thru head phones, trying to be quiet.
What's the difference in feel/sound/response between the SURGE cymbals and the rubber DMPad cymbals? Also, do the rubber cymbals have the same 'choke strip' function?
many words , just explain what the drum can do, playing the differents kits. thats what a music wants to see. I hate to be hearing words and words and words.
hey my drummer just bought this set,it sounds great when its working right, can u tell me why a loud bass or guitar is setting off his drum triggers,? any help & secrets
Lets think this through Real Drum Head Pads: Pro- 5 Studio- 6 Cymbals: Pro- 3 Surge cymals with choke Studio- 4 DMpad cymbals with choke Brain: I really have no clue. I'm a beginner. Overall winner: Studio any day.
i want an electronic set (this set) so i can play in my dorm at college. i obviously cant have a huge loud acoustic set. but what im wondering is are the cymbals loud when you hit them? or are they quiet like the pads?
and i dont mean do they sound loud in comparison through an amp or headphones. i mean if the thing was off and i hit a cymbal would it be loud?
@thatworks2 from what i believe, the surge cymbals are a little louder, try checking out the DM10 studio kit, it has more pads and the different cymbals. and its cheaper
@thatworks2 haha i want an electric drumset for the same reason. the surge cymbals are louder than the pads but there not to bad because they put a dampener in between or under the cymbal so there relatively quiet.
@NevadaMusicUK Is there any downsides to the studio other than the lack of surge cymbals. There is absolutly nothing on the internet about them. No reviews, no videos. Nothing but NAMM 2010 and the hundreds of websites that have it. I'm really considering it.
i wanna get this, but a little too expensive, the dm 10 studio kit looks less expensive, and the only difference is the surge cymbals(the studio has black traditional cymbal pads, like any other elctronic drum company's), and the rack(the studio kit has a stealthrack, pretty good in my opinion) and it inclueds an extra tom and cymbal, so i prefer that, not saying this sucks, this is awesome, but i prefer the studio version
and also if ur gonna add more cymbals to this kit, it might look a little weird to get black rubber cymbals pads, unless u have tge money to get a few cable splitters and if u have even more money to buy the alesis surge cymbals, but roland cy-8 are a little cheaper and the quality is great, because roland's the best, and the price is lower, plus roland's cy-8's have choke too, so i still prefer the alesis dm10 studio kit, but if i was richer, then this is the kit to get
yeah, i think so, u can overwrite(meaning u can change any pad to almost any sound) the hi-hat, but im not very sure, i only heard that from other comment replies
but what about adding more cymbals to the kit? rubber cymbals don't look good with surge cymbals, im not trying to argue or anything, but everyone has they're own opinion, and for me, ill get the alesis dm10 studio, if u have the money, then get this kit, it's pretty awesome
No need to brag Wizzard - Obviously you would with it costing a shed load more than this! Roland gear is overpriced anyway in my opinion. In this price range you get more out of the DM10 than you do with the Roland TD4X.
Not bragging at all. I've played lots of e-kits and none come close to the td-20. Overpriced? Perhaps. I got mine as a gift so the fact that Roland is overpriced doesn't bother me ;)
