I think that since both Faber and Yamamoto come from a great wrestling background they would match up pretty well. Both are short :D haha :D love yamamoto.
Charles Bennet IS a joke, but Urijah and Torres are for real. Urijah is basically an athlete, but he is such a great athlete that he can grow to be dominant. Torres and Kid are in my top ten, but I'd give that fight to Torres unless Yamamoto gets some top class warm up fights in a cage. Torres has sick stand up, ground game, great conditioning, and long reach.
Every title defense Torres has had has been a top 5 135er. They wouldn't fight anyway, I think Kid is coming to 145, I think the fight would be bad for Kid, especially if he didn't get any cage experience. Look at everything that Torres can do: His striking is amazing enough to TKO guys with jabs and his reach is huge (75"), his submission game is so good that no one he fights is willing to go to the ground with him (that would be the worst for Kid), and his clinch fighting is unreal.

Well Torres has fought people above his weight, too. And just because you can do well at a higher weight class doesn't mean you automatically own everyone in your own weightclass.

I think Kid would only have the advantage in power and wrestling. They're tied in endurance. Torres has more refined striking, he fights harder than anyone Yamamoto has beat (which isn't many top tier LWs) and his submission game is beyond Kid's imagination. His striking is probably more refined, too. Not to mention his reach. Torres has a much more extensive record (36-1) and experience fighting in a cage, so I don't see how it would be easy at all for Kid. He has had a long break, too.

I don't think Sudo was.. I mean, he was 15-5, and didn't ever fight for a title. He did well in the UFC, but didn't beat Ludwig. His submission grappling was great. His striking, although unpredictable, was not top tier. Caol Uno probably USED to be top 5 LWs, and he was in the top ten recently when he beat Ishida, but he has always seemed a one-dimensional amazing sub-grappler with great sub-def (Did you see him & Aoki? Kid is a GREAT fighter... but a total dick in the ring. I was happy to witness him receive the most brutal KO of his career from Mike Zambidis when he tried to roll with the big boys in the K-1 World Max. If you didn't see it yet... Youtube Mike Zambidis... that KO was nasty... I think it knocked some sense into Kid!
Oh get over it! He knew what he was doing when he went into the K-1 World Max, he wanted to test his stand-up skills and got smashed by 1 of the most frightening punchers in K-1. It's not a big deal, I'm sure Kid could have owned plenty of other fighters in the Max. It's just that trying to beat Zambidis at his own game (boxing) is a feat that has only been accomplished by a few of the elite class fighters in the Max.

And Masato is a higher class kickboxer then Zambidis.. so i think Yamamoto just got caught off guard.. or perhaps he was too arrogant for that fight.. Trust me, there is a reason why Masato beats Zambidis. Masato doesn't try to go toe to toe with Zambidis because he knows it's like commiting suicide. Masato lays back and beats Zambidis on points everytime; he doesn't have as many fancy kicks and knees that Souwer, Buakaw and Kohi have; especially Souwer! Yammamoto knocked down Masato because he wasn't taking him that serious at first, and to be honest I think he kicked Kid in the balls on purpose; I would too if he tried to rush me.
In MMA Kid would kill the whole K-1 Max and thats why Max fighters stay the hell out of K-1 Heroes; Maybe Kid should do the same. But, I'm glad Kid got some balls to come to the K-1Max so that he could get the stuffings knocked out of him.

I'm a big fan of Kid Yamamoto! I was just watching WEC and at the end of the fight, Faber called out Yamamoto! OMG!! That would be a badass fight. Faber is very explosive and damn good on the ground with tons of submissions. However, my faith in Yamamoto says that he should not have too much of a problem. Yamamoto is the shit!

Bruce Lee is stronger, faster, hits harder and is everything KID is and more. With that said KID is nearly Lee in quality. Fine example of size doesn't matter. Man KID took down people twice his size. Fantastic. Fit...Checkout his bench press and lat pulls. DAMN!!!

Kid is a GREAT fighter... but a total dick in the ring. I was happy to witness him receive the most brutal KO of his career from Mike Zambidis when he tried to roll with the big boys in the K-1 World Max. If you didn't see it yet... Youtube Mike Zambidis... that KO was nasty... I think it knocked some sense into Kid!

Oh get over it! He knew what he was doing when he went into the K-1 World Max, he wanted to test his stand-up skills and got smashed by 1 of the most frightening punchers in K-1. It's not a big deal, I'm sure Kid could have owned plenty of other fighters in the Max. It's just that trying to beat Zambidis at his own game (boxing) is a feat that has only been accomplished by a few of the elite class fighters in the Max.

sure.. But yamamoto was fighting toe to toe with Masato... I think he even would won that fight if it wasnt for the groinkicks... And Masato is a higher class kickboxer then Zambidis.. so i think Yamamoto just got caught off guard.. or perhaps he was too arrogant for that fight.. Zambidis is a great striker no doubt.. but i think in a rematch that Yamamoto could do a lot!

Trust me, there is a reason why Masato beats Zambidis. Masato doesn't try to go toe to toe with Zambidis because he knows it's like commiting suicide. Masato lays back and beats Zambidis on points everytime; he doesn't have as many fancy kicks and knees that Souwer, Buakaw and Kohi have; especially Souwer! Yammamoto knocked down Masato because he wasn't taking him that serious at first, and to be honest I think he kicked Kid in the balls on purpose; I would too if he tried to rush me.

In MMA Kid would kill the whole K-1 Max and thats why Max fighters stay the hell out of K-1 Heroes; Maybe Kid should do the same. But, I'm glad Kid got some balls to come to the K-1Max so that he could get the stuffings knocked out of him.
Don't tell me that you actually like Kid's attitude about beating the hell out of a person who is clearly unable to defend himself as the ref tries to pull him off.
Other than that Kid's an awsome figther; I love the guy; but he's still a dick.

At first I did dislike his attitude... But as I watched it more.. The time he raged on that face even when the reff tried to pull him off.. That dude was talking serious trash about his family.. wich is stupid cuz Kid is a agressive guy... Though After the bout.. Kid droped on his knees and appologised.. gave eachother hugs.. I agree that Kid does go too far sometimes.. But after Every bout.. he allways shows respect to his oponent. So he might have bad sides, but it makes him human!

cmon man, yeah ufc sucks compared to dream and pride (before ufc bought it), but there are great fighters in ufc and many of them have fought in japan as well. dont stereotype all white fighters and white americans to be like that. if it is how u say then why would chuck liddell fight in pride if he thought america has the best in the world? wouldn't he have just stuck with ufc during his fighting career if that was true? snd that's just one example. stereotypes are stupid.

I'm a big fan of Kid Yamamoto! I was just watching WEC and at the end of the fight, Faber called out Yamamoto! OMG!! That would be a badass fight. Faber is very explosive and damn good on the ground with tons of submissions. However, my faith in Yamamoto says that he should not have too much of a problem. Yamamoto is the shit!
Faber is the best here in the USA though. He is very explosive.

kid would have no reason to go to the ufc as:
1. ufc does not hav a 145lb weight class
2. he would not get paid ANYWHERE near as much as he is being paid now if he went to the ufc/wec. k-1 created the 145lb weight class pretty much cause of yamamoto
but yes, many american fight fans are very disrespectful to non-american fighters. never saw that in the japanese fight orgs, they embraced fighters of any descent.
