If I am standing on train tracks and I see a train approaching and I close my eyes, I no longer see the train, but it seems to me that the apparent train is not objectively nothing as it will soon run me over whether I "see" it or not. What am I not getting?
@sterlingCH what Rupert is saying that train is there and approaching but you would not know it if your eyes and ears (all senses) were shut down. But obviously, in your example, you some how know even without your eyes you know it is train approaching - total contradiction. The idea is that reality is always within and you can experience the reality within. In other words, don't find the truth or yourself outside of yourself. This should bring a complete twist in the meaning of your life.
The question is false, . should be : Just include : when the see-er dies suddenly. -=- The way advaita constructs questions is like this following Joke : -=- What is the difference between the dead bird Answer : His left leg is similar ! -=- It's misusing language. -=- Advaita doesn't exist, . . because the source of all ( called God, Consciousness ) is NOT static but is hyper dynamic It's ever changing. This "silence" they all talk about is before the symphoy starts.
