  • walk over, pull the plug, score. easy. take that you unbeatable robot arm thing.

  • lol mdr

  • Robot just blocking. I hope they can set block/shot feature at the same time. Just like on computer games:

    pushmania . com/flash-game/air-hockey

  • Wow,neat, even since it's not perfect, it does some nice shots and great prediction. 5/5

  • How should I do to buy this machine?

  • I bet I could beat it :p

  • I could beat it.

  • nice

  • how much it costs? (euro)

  • sweet !!!!!!

  • I would like to see, if you put two robots to play against each other, if any of them could score at all. going to be hard work for them, especially because they are both so tough at protection each others goal.

  • I'm sure if they are of equal intelligence, the likelihood is slim. As they can constantly improve the algorithm, it will easily become only a game meant for humans ;]

  • I bet that robot couldn't stop my

    !knuckle puck!

  • they should have that at the worlds largest arcade, and have people compete against it and there could be a prize if you win

  • Wow... I really should have gone to FTF this year...

  • That's evil!

  • Thank you for giving the speed of the puck in meters/second and not some ridiculous mph measurement!

  • 2:48 ROBOT SCORES!!!

    b0g FTW!!

  • The flashing LED's makes it extra high tech.

  • so lets put two pucks down and see how fast this thing is

  • robots have beaten humans in chess, it wouldnt be long that they beat us in sports too, not only in simplistic games like this puck hockey, but even in games like soccer. Go check out robocup.

  • its great and all.. but what would you use that for? im not being cocky or anything, i really would like to know what somebody would use this robot for

  • The applications for a robot like this are endless. Today you can find robots like this in many industrial and factory floor applications. As hospitals get more advanced, they will begin showing up there as well. As for the air hockey application, that was designed to be a cool Freescale demo.

  • Wow, the computers must be working pretty fast for it to respond so quickly.

  • That is cool! Did they do this on a FPGA?

  • This was not done on an FPGA. It was actually done using Freescale's Flexis AC microcontrollers (MC9S08AC128 / MCF51AC256). The MCF51AC256 is controlling the robot in the video.

  • I'd like to see 2 robots play.

  • Why oh why didn't I take the Red pill?!

This is like the real life prologue to the Matrix or Terminator.

  • HE CAN SEE INTO YOUR SOUL!

  • looks fun, 1st!

computers are getting better at everything. =]

  • i swear robots will one day take over

  • I, for one, welcome our robot overlords.

  • that's cool!

  • This is so awesome. I wonder if it is even possible to score against the robot??

  • I think it looks like a draw.. well at least it cant score itself yet.
