Almost the same happened to me, i started to run and than jumped off the ground, making the grip impossible, so i fell. It was winter, and i did backflip in air and fell to the ground with my face, sliding on the ground. I fell 2 meterd from some old scrap metal car. My face was a mess for 2 weeks. But it was cool experience ;)
