I'm actually enjoying this game too, I'm a hugue fan of the first 7K, and this one I love it too. (I have discovered lately) I like to play the greeks, but I can't hear the sound of the swords clashing... It seems that in your video it happens the same... Anyone knows if that will be fixed somehow? (I can hear all the other races sounds perfectly, this only happens with the greeks)
Thanks very much for the two-part videos! Really needed some feedback since I might try getting this game, as well as Rise of Nations. I am just wondering if there are other games you'd recommend that are not entirely needed on graphics, since I am getting tired of games these days that have the graphics but not the fun side of things to roll with that, AKA: The gameplay.
I gotta say, I learned alot from watching both of your vidoes. I always used the tactic of buying the strongest hero, Letting all my guys rebel, then seeing how long I could last xD
so really this was an 800meg video file size? mine only have to be like 100 megs for 10 minutes at 3mbps video and 128kbs audio to look this this , so i wonder what you could be doing with that.....
no kidding it's rare , i didn't even know you could "highjack" buildings like that -.o'......
hahaha rolf they took a third building at the very end XD
you can get 7 kingdoms 2 at the 99 cents store LOL . also i love this game, cant play it tho cuz my laptop is gay (desktop died :/) also whens 3rd part comin?
Seven kingdoms looks interesting. Might get it and Zeus Master of Olympus. Just started playing loads of RTS recently. watching your videos has opened my eyes to a few great games.
I love SOF1 unfortunately it doesn't work on vista. I have soldier of fortune 2 though which I really should complete sometime. Which is a real shame because I loved the first game and played it from a very young age and is a game I grew up with.
I think games that are hard to learn will only appeal to a certain type of gamers : those who have little money and lots of free time. When I was a kid, I couldn't afford more than a game every 2 or 3 months, and as such I needed games that offered at least 60+ hours of gameplay. Now I can afford pretty much what I want and I just don't have enough time to sit down and learn to play a game for hours. So now I tend to prefer 15 hours long games that are easy to learn (but not so easy to master).
@TheFinalHighlander Hmm, well you get the mp3 soundtrack as a bonus download so you could play them in the backround while you play or burn them to CD leaving the first track blank (since it's usually the game) and the game should play them normally. Surprising for gog though.
@TheFinalHighlander - The only real complaint I can offer about Seven Kingdoms 2 is it made my favorite strategy rather useless.
I preferred to play the original game on Island maps and basically played as a sea power. That isn't possible in the second game since there isn't any large bodies of water to segregate the map.
@TheFinalHighlander No it doesn't ! I already had a problem with Postal (you can't turn left) and GOG did come up with a fix but the game remained unplayable. There are many games though that don't work as they should and that haven't been fixed by the GOG team and Seven Kingdoms II is one of these. If I have a piece of advice to any GOG customer, it is to check the forums of the games you want to buy before buying them because you could very well end up with a game with no music or unplayable..
Hey mate, great vids as usual. I was wondering if you'd play or would be interested to play other genres, classics? Planescape, baldur's gate, outcast, icedale wind, obviously there're plenty more. Also what about some good old adventure games? gabriel knight, syberia? I'd like to hear your opinion about em. Keep the good work mate and merry christmas?
@luismanuel89 Yep I know and have played all of them with the exception of Outcast. Love them all. I know it's unusual but I have a preference for Icewind Dale over Baldurs Gate just because I love that kind of icy environment. I find the game extremely atmospheric. Planescape is definately the most interesting and original of them all though I think. There are two games in that category I haven't played but would like to, Temple of Elemental Evil and Arcanum. Both are on GOG.
@TheFinalHighlander Mate, that website is AMAZING. lol. Thanks for telling us about that website, although now it's everywhere and everyone knows about it. What about more modern games? like dragon age, mass effect, i know you played fall out 3 but have you picked up new vegas? Elder scrolls 5 is coming out...
@TheFinalHighlander Definately go for Arcanum. This game even interested my sister who doesn't game at all usually. Shame that her save files got corrupted back then and she couldn't finish the game... But that's another story !
There are lots of mod's for the game that add new resolutions and animations (that were left unused by the developers for some unhealthy reasons...) so it's definately playable by today's standards, especially for classic gamers.
OMG!! i want to play this again
