@igunot129i I used a low level input converter, you can get them at Best Buy, hhgreg, radio shack, or your local audio shop. They range from 10-40 buck depending on how many RCA outputs you need. If you do a search on Google/Youtube there is bound to be a video showing how to hook one up. I'd post a video but I no longer have the car. I got tired of it and traded in on a new Mercedes C class sedan. Much better car for the money compared to American made junk.
@hondafanatic17 This doesn't relate to the video, but since you had a 10 model. Were the brakes strange for you? As far as ABS goes? Mine has a tendency to catch with ABS and then have a type of slide motion right before I come to a complete stop unless I fully push down the brake or let go
@poncekid56 Umm I didn't have any problems with the brakes that I can think of, I know the ABS would kick in when I hit ice or something but other than that I don't think any thing strange happened. Like I said in one of my previous comments, I traded this car in with less than seven thousand miles on it at a Mercedes Benz dealership on a new C class sedan. I was not very impressed with the Malibu after about 6 months of ownership.
@DrewDavis911 I sell drugs.... No lol I still live at home with full time job 60 hours work weeks and I'm broke all the time, so it's nice to have a good running car, but it cost a lot.
If your getting a 2008-10 they have paddle shit standard in any model with the six speed transmission after that they switched to a up/down button on the side of the shifter.
i think i need a better box or something, i got a 2010 malibu LT2 and i just got a 1000watt kenwood amp and one 12 inch kicker cvr and my shit dont hit that hard, i got it in a slim box thats made to fit behind truck seats though. do you get any light dimming? i do with mine when i have it up loud. i got it connected to the factory head unit too, same as yours with the usb port
@bigrob18007 Umm.... I didn't think the CVR came in a shallow mount version. I mean I know some models with fit in a slim box but if it just a regular sub I doubt the box is big enough for air space the sub needs. I suggest checking out Kickers website to see what the recommended air space is or checking your owners manual. Also while upgrading your box possibly add one more CVR? Run em at 2 ohms, be nasty as hell in there!! Oh and yes I get terrible headlight dimming.
Shouldn't have that problem, Memphis subwoofers are very clean tight woofers and handle well under high power loads. As long as you have the recommended power going to them from a decent amp(not some walmart Dual brand shit), proper box and that will make a big difference too, and a decent soundstage up front to balance it out you should have a clean setup that sounds great at all levels!
On the drivers side there is a area on the carpet that has a little rubber pad for a foot rest, pretty much right under that. I drilled a hole and ran it threw a grommet I got with the wiring kit and siliconed the shit outta it for waterproofing. Running it there keeps the wire in the firewall area and it doesnt bump up the carpet either.
hey bro how did you install sub woofers and still keep the head unit?

I want to get these subs but I am worried 2 12s wont be good enough for clean bass that carries out of the car.

@karyny0 You need an adapter, they sell for around 50$ it plugs into the radio and harness and has 2 outputs for the subwoofer.

I think "On My Level" by Whiz Khalifa would be a good test song. It has some sick bass.
