I know comments are old but Rubberclown check messages for information on the Australian Medieval Guild which trains every sunday at Wyee on the central coast.

New members are always welcome and we also have a chapter in Bankstown Sydney with a total of aproximatly 57 active members we are now the largest medieval reenactment group in Nsw.

There is no starting cost and minimal equipment (hand protection, helmet and weapons) can be borrowed from members on the day.

this is so awsum, theres a branch near my area which ive been meaning to join. Sounds expensive though when it comes to all the gear :(

I was in contact with one of the members but couldnt goto a festival to meet him as i had other plans. From there things went quiet.
