I am Swedish only. Both my girlfriend and I have learnt this song, just because it's such an awesome song... =)

Finnish has the nice property of being pronounced exactly the way it is written, and has basically the same sounds as Swedish. Mimicking it isn't all that hard for us. I tried singing "Dirlandaa" to two Finnish girls once, and they told me my pronounciation was perfect! I still haven't tried singing "Ievan polkka" to anyone yet, though...

Yeah, it's a scene from Bleach after Orihime apparently gets hit by a car and Rukia asks her if she just came back from the shop. She spins the leek while she's happily expressing that her food (leeks, butter, bananas, and bean jelly) weren't damaged.

The connection was that someone decided to do a loop of the spinning leek with some lyrics from Loituma's version of Ievan Polkka.
