The US military has its faults, heaven knows, but when they're doing their best to help mitigate the effects of a massive humanitarian disaster that's claimed 200,000 lives it might be the wrong time to make your lame jokes about our soldiers shooting civilians. Right. In the first few days incoming medical flights were being diverted to the Dominican Republic so the US military could bring in troops and materiel. When the only tool you have is a hammer then everything looks like a nail, and the Pentagon takes half our budget so its pretty much the only tool we have.

Did you know that only 22% of flights to Haiti were by the US military i.e 78% of flights were humanitarian . How do think the many S&R teams and the various field hospitals got on the ground? Do you know that the flight controllers were sitting outside at desk to control air traffic. The US is sending a control tower to Haiti.

Only SOME of the flights were diverted to the DR because the airport is too small to handle the volume of traffic NOT, repeat NOT because the military was using it.

Nonsense - NON-MILITARY S&R teams from more than a dozen countries were on the ground as soon as possible pulling people from the rubble starting the DAY after the earthquake. I hate it when people on the left get their facts as wrong as those at FOX.
