  • i would take out all the fist and decorations except the gravel, then out a bunch of live rock and put a zebra moray eel in there *nod nod*.

  • Obsessed much?

  • the tank is very big , just remove the rocks , they are monster fishes they will get aggressive about their area and such , remove the rocks so they dont get hurt and have much more space :)

    that's my opinion

  • please pleas PLLLLLEAAAAAASE BUY A BIGGER TANK!!!

  • That's not a aquaria .... More like a Jail to me.

Too Smalle for that fish type.

  • I love giant gourami. This tank has not enough room for these big boys/girls..but read ur comment that you've moved some.

  • do u have a tank in the loo as well?

  • this is monster JAIL not aquarium!

  • well, the Parrot Cichlids say it all. If you support that form of inbreeding and the deformation that goes with it...

  • Wow your fish look healthy!

  • @jamgabem

    Wow your fish look shitty!

  • where is it that?

  • Hi GVharford, nice work. Can you please let me know the title of the song you used in this video? Is it by Dave Grusin and Lee Ritenour?

    Thanks in advance.:)

  • How many gallons is the first tank? How do you keep your plants in place?

  • TOO MANY FISH, THEY ARE CLEARLY UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!!!!.

  • dude, sweet tank, how many gallons does that tank hold. how much did the set up cost not inclding fish thanks

  • good luck trying to flush those fish down your toilet.

  • @TheBigChees365 Ok now pretend you were a fish in there... Would you be happy in that tiny over-crowded tank? I think not.

  • @averydart: maybe he doesn't have the MONEY to have a multi-thousand gallon aquarium. All those fish look fine to me. And they're going to be lethargic because they're so freaking HUGE! Have you ever seen a giant gourami or large ID shark doing laps in a tank when it's 2+ feet long? No. Obviously he cares enough to have a tank this big which costs probably 5k+ easily. It looks good and the fish are healthy.

  • @piensolo ok what is this poor fish crap?! I'm so tired of people saying how bad they feel for the fish! If the owner just invested thousands of dollars into the tank that is PLENTY big enough for them, why would you bitch about it? The fish are well fed and have plenty of room. They were just in the front of the tank at that time

  • @TheBigCheez365 Are you kidding me? That tank is WAY too small. Really the only fish that could be comfortably fit in there are the stingray, the pleco, and the giant gourami. Everything else gets to be over 4 feet in length, which is clearly too large for this tank. Also, the tank is square, not rectangular, which doesn't provide much swimming space. Also, he has at least 15 fish in there, and the pacu need to be in groups, as they swim in groups. The fish in their are all lethargic looking >:(

  • Poor Fish :(

  • what kind of fish im getting a 200 gallon and want some monster fish that arent aggressive have any ideas? im looking for them to be brightly colored also. thx

  • @sugar3686 a monster fish thats not aggresive? realy? thats an oxymoron

  • how many gallons?

    I only have a 20 gal

  • so many fish :((

  • What's the fish at 0:05?

  • @Chickeebird silver arowana

  • It would have been hilarious to see a little guppy swimming around in their x)

  • how many gallons is that tank

  • Is that a giant gourami? good god that thing is ugly lol.

  • PRISON FOR FISH...NEED ABOUT 9,000 MORE GALLONS DUDE>

  • Cut it with the size of the tank, most of you must know nothing to fishkeeping. First, Most fish when you approach a tank will come the front glass to see if you get them food so tanks always appear more crowned than they really are, just because all the fish come to the front.

Second as long as you can handle the water change and clean up the tank you can go for heavy bioload but you must keep an eye on the water quality.

What doesn't work for one, might work for someone else...

  • feel sorry for them fish, so spaceless

  • dang they are peaceful don't u think?

  • Those are some very nice sharks you got! Yah bless you!

  • need more space!

  • You NEED MORE FISH!!! I DON'T think you have ENOUGH!

  • goodness thats a big tank! how big is that tank?? and i love your RTC, i'm getting one this up coming monday :) yay!

i've been wait almost 5months for my baby!

  • actually these fish dont really swim around too much anyway so it wouldnt matter people.....also he said they're all still alive and well so stfu. dont worry man people say the same about my 32 gallon but all of my fish are fine.

  • did you film that on a fucking phone camera, ? try a bigger tank and a better camera before you go making videos

  • what do you feed your sharks

  • how the hell did you get a Butti in with all those other fish??

  • These fish can't even swim around! How would you feel if you were put in a glass box and all you could do was take one step in each direction..all while people are looking in on you. You need to think of the well being of your fish. The fish are very cool but deff unhappy. Sorry to say.

  • STRIPED RAPHAEL CATFISH! WOO!

  • Comment removed

  • Dude upgrade ur tank but nice tank

  • That tank is way too small. The fish look as if there saying get me the F*!K outta here!

  • those fish looked pretty cramped up in there..

  • needs more space

  • Way overstocked tank, but the fish look cool. Of course, they'd look much cooler if they had more swimming space.

  • not saying anything bad about it, just not really my taste in fish.

  • Guys the aquarium is not to small for those fish. It is enitrely possible to keep a community aquarium off big fish like tht. When i saw this video, the first thing I thought was that the types of fish you have are pretty generic and not a very unique mix. Thats just my opinion i work in a fish store, and I see alot of those fish like the two 10 inch I.D Cats and the silver arrowana, and the big Raphael cat and the common pleco.

  • thoose poor fish they can't even turn around in the tank

  • would have enjoy viewing your fish more if you didn't move your camera around so much! nice though!

  • nice arowana

  • WTF spanish mackarel or wahoo at 0:17??? LOL it mite not be but it looks like it!

  • Cool!

how many feet is this tank?

  • How bigs that tank!

  • absolutely beautiful :) I used to own a 6ft X 3 X 3 and I kept Giant gouramis and Catfish in it, but I must say I am jealous. I sold that tank now though, after watching this, I wished I hadn't!

  • poor fish!

  • wow it s huge ! i love it .... hmmm get a couple of Tiger Oscars they would look nice in that fish tank ..

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYUUUUMMMNNN!!!!!!! And I thought I was aquatically obsessed! Nice collection man! You're my freaking hero! Nice arowanna by the way ;)

  • Comment removed

  • The fish at 0:27 is smiling :D

  • howw bigs the tank!

  • the tank kinda looks small

  • 1:12 Pretty cramped lol, But I love your fishes! :))

  • You have all those fish but not an Oscar shame on you

  • @234Beastyboy it swam so fast you didnt see it.

  • your aro has drop eye

  • ahm

  • wow damn dude

  • I once had two goldfish in a bowl, one was called bit,one was called bot, one day bit bit bot but bot bit bit back, so all turned out ok.

  • @DomRampello cleverrr.... haha

  • wow real funny, keep the comedy to the comedians

  • @DomRampello lol thats fucking funny xD

  • lol

  • how big is your tank?? is it 125gallon???

  • @marlonips its about 1000 gallons not 125??

  • @plecostomus123 woah it looks small in vid...

  • @marlonips yer it does but when an adult pacu is there you see how tall it is and it is long

  • I love the I.D. sharks. They look so peaceful in the tank that they are in

  • beautiful! is that a pleco at 0:13?

  • Yes it is and thanks. I have actually two of them, and if you check out my other video's you'll be able to obtain a better view of each one.

  • @gvharford how much did the pleco for?.

  • @hypercarbon no its a red tail catfish

  • @hypercarbon beautiful? this tank is to smal! ppoor araowana, shark and co. ....

  • I was able to move several of these fish into other larger size aquarium's currently kept at my home.

  • You posted this video just over a year ago. Im curious to know, how many fish do have left?

There are way too many fish in that first tank you show. The fish cant swim around. Not good dude.

  • I still have all of them left and they are doing extremely well. I'm staying on top of the water changes and am making sure they are feed on a steady diet. It makes me laugh when everyone think's my big tank is so overcrowded compared to what size tanks some of these fish have been living in the past when I adopted them. Theirs more room then it actually looks in the video. I did seperate alot of them however, check out my latest video at House of Aquariums #2.

  • 2- clean the water. remove the ID Sharks. then its safe.

  • No doubt. I acutally did remove the ID sharks and your absoultely correct on making this move at hand. Check out my latest video at House of Aquariums # 2. These guys are now placed in a 300 gallon tank and are adjusting very well.

  • cloudy, over crowded. disaster awaits!!

  • Dude, it's not that bad compared to what these fish were living in the past. I do the water changes every week and take care of my aquariums. Think what you want. However, check out my other video at House of Aquariums # 2. I've given these guys more room at hand.

  • that tank is way to small for those all those fish.

  • I agree at the time. However, I currently brought other fish tanks to seperate these guys. Check out my video at House of Aquariums # 2.

  • @priitch13 they're well fed then.

  • @xer202 I partly agree, it depends what kind of fish you have. you can hold more community fish than cichlids. This guy should have around 750 to1000 gl.

  • @dierkrieger I have a 1000G and have less fish than him!

  • Nice size tank you have and a little more then double the size to what I currently have. Check out my video at House of Aquariums # 2. I've seperated alot of these fish to provide them with more room. What types of fish to you have in your 1,000 gallon tank?

  • @dierkrieger

Actually this is not true. Cichlids NEED to be overcrowded to avoid targeting and fighting. This more closely mimics their natural habitat.

  • I just brought 60 small 1 to 1 and half inch African Cichlids and have them placed in a 75 gallon tank. They are doing really well and are growing quickly, as I'm feeding them flake food with 30% protein two to three times a day. I noticed that fish can do better when overcrowded to protect their space and surroundings.

  • I agree. At the time I posted this video I was on a budget and couldn't purchase bigger fish tanks, but now that's changed since today. I adopted some of these fish that were in 50-75 gallon tanks so in the long run they definitely have more room and a better place to live compared to what their original owners gave them.

  • I agree 100%. I moved a few fish around to make more room now that my finances allowed me to do so and to buy more tanks. - Thanks for the update.

  • Those are those sharks I saw at an aquarium today. They are now an illegal import to Australia. What of those sharks remaining in Australia, stay in Australia. No more.

  • I'm sure your able to obtain some really cool looking fish over in Australia. Especially when it comes to Salt Water. I'm surprised to hear that Irredescent sharks are now illegal to import into your country. The are widely available over here in the States at many pet stores as one can buy them small fry to grown up to the size your currently looking at in my video's.

  • ive seen bigger tank and bigger fish

  • I hear you. But have you ever seen bigger tanks in some guy's living room in their home? I have four braces underneath that can each hold up to 18,000 lbs.

  • U need a bigger tank for those fish they all are going to grow more than 3 feet each It looks nice tho.

  • I now currently have other big size fish tanks and have seperated the Irredescent sharks at hand. It takes along time for them to grow up to three feet and depends on how often you feed them and what your feeding them. Glad you to hear you like what you see and thanks.

  • aro has gill curl?

  • I noticed that from the time I got him. I was told this can happen when the PH is high. Do you have any recommendations on curing this problem as I currently have a large size pacu with also a slight gill curl at hand.

  • chemi pure seems to work for me i just managed to breed my motoros but 12-13 bags that must be expensive....... love those fish

  • Glad to hear it. I sometimes dont' even both using chemi pure as I really stay on top of the water changes frequently. Also, my custom filtration system keep's the water clearer especially when cleaning and-or replacing the filter pad on every water change. That's really cool you breed motoro's. They are by far my favorite freshwater fish as I can hand feed my sting rays. Do you breed Black Liopaldi Sting Rays at all?

  • too much bioload!

  • I just added a new video today. House of Aquariums # 2., and have added more tanks and more space at hand easing up the bioload.

  • what are the cats you have called

  • I have two large size Red Tail Cat Fish, 2 small fry channel cat fish, 1 large size shovelnose catfish, 2 placos, etc.

  • wouldn't the aro jump tank? Since there is no cover?

  • That's a good question. I've heard of alot of people loosing their arowana's this way. However, since I feed my arowana approximately one a day. He tends to stay much calmer and is well domesticated with enough room at hand. It's important when your first feeding them to watch for this I've noticed. I do have glass panels on all three opening panes as it's hard to see in the video.

  • nice fish i think the aro has drop eye though 5/5!!!!!!!

  • I noticed this happend when transfering my arowana from tank to tank. Fish can sometimes get drop eye in times of stress and also depending on what your feeding them, i.e., floating to sinking.

  • how many gallons is the first tank showed

  • 450 gallons with a 150 gallon wet/dry custom built sump totaling 600 gallons.

  • Ok thankyou!!

  • Hi, great monster tank. One of those fish in there looks like a massive iridescent shark. Is it? Also, I'm soon getting a thirty gallon tank, and what is the least stressful way to transport my fish and everything else from my ten gallon?

  • Hi, glad your able to check it out. That's correct. One of my fish is a large iridescent shark. When transferring your fish from one tank to another I recommend turning off all lights and-or dim them so you don't freak them out. Put the net in slowly and take your time as these fish can move super fast and smack directly into the sides of your tank. If you add him into a bucket, put a cover on top as fish like it dark and are more comfortable. Water temp's should be the same for both tanks.

  • @gvharford what are the cats you have called pleas reply via message

  • yeah get him some floating food

  • I'll try using Freezed Dried Krill that floats on top in the larger size. -- Thanks again.

  • i think the tank is a little overstocked

  • I agree. I have alot more tanks now and have moved alot of fish around. I'll be posting some new videos really soon to check out.

  • beautifull black fin shark u have in there man.. my freind keeps aregueing with me and sayin its a catfish

  • Thanks alot. Their Irredescent Sharks and have grown alot bigger since I've posted these video's. They are definitely not catfish and are most compatiable & tame with other fish.

  • It is indeed a catfish. Despite its name, iridescent shark, Pangasius hypophthalmus is not a shark, but a catfish. This fish is also known as Siamese shark or sutchi catfish in the aquarium hobby. Thought you would like to know what species you have.

  • I caught a small catfish (1") from a river a few years back. I changed the size of the tanks over time. By the time I had him in a 55gallon tank, he was almost 8 inches long. He stopped eating for some reason. So after a few days, I decided to release him into a river near my house.

  • I've heard of people catching freshwater catfish from rivers before and then adding them to their tanks. That's awesome that your able to grow him 7" inches in your 55 gallon tank all that time. I'm sure he's much bigger now that you released him back into the wild and that he's eating again. This summer, I dug up clams and oysters and adding them into my aquarium. I've had them now for over 8 months and they are all dong well still alive buried partially in the sand. Hermit cards also.

  • I used to use Chemi-pure particulary in my two E-heim filters and it definitely work's really well on keeping the water cleaner so you don't have to water change as frequently hence saving time. I'm so use to doing the water changes right now on a consistent basis, but will keep this in mind next time I'm away on vacation while also hooking up my autofeeders. I believe it can last up to 4-5 months and then need replacements after that. Also try out Chemi-Pure "ELITE".

  • Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I use Chemi-pure Elite. That lasts longer I've found; for about 6 months. I have a 30 gal tank; I used to have 6 Angels, BUT they outgrew my tank! couldn't afford to buy a bigger tank, so I took them back to the pet shop I bought them from and traded for plants and other things I needed. I kept two of the Angels. One of them, I call King Fish, is HUGE 5+ inches! the other black Angel isn't that big. What kind of food do you use when you go on vaca?

  • I use about 12-13 Chemi-pure Elites all together and then tie them into an onion bag to be inserted into my 150 wet/dry sump. It does a solid job of keeping that extra sparkle of water for six month's I've also noticed for my bigger tanks & smaller. I also have a breeding pair of angel fish and about 20 smaller ones which are growing fast. I typically feed my fish top brand foods ranging from sinking to floating pellets, krill, etc.

  • at 0:12 is that a raphael catfish or RTC

  • thats a RTC

  • That's correct. It's a Red Tail Catfish

  • That's a Red Tail Catfish and growing much bigger in size from month-to-month. I feed him large size grapes and he loves him.

  • what up with your arowanas eye??

  • droop eye its when u feed a surface feeding fish food which sinks

  • Thanks for the update, and that's very interesting feedback as I was actually feeding him large size sinking pallets in the past. I now currently throw the food directly into his mouth so the problem seemed to go away with a clear eye at hand.

  • probably breeding deformity

  • I'm not exactly sure why my arowana's eye got this way but he's fine now.

  • Good question, as it may have been the food i was feeding him. The problems gone away and his eye has been fine currently.

  • I'd rather keep reptiles... 'cause I actually know how to take care of 'em. =P

  • Very cool. I just picked up two turtles and three African Claw Frogs which are home in a 125 gallon aquarium. I custom built three water falls and have a filter which is placed on top of a piece of slate to keep the water clean. New videos will be coming out on this shortly.

  • Freguent water changes ARE necessary. It does not matter what kind of filtering system you have, bottom line, fish live in their own toilets. Water changes (30% each week) help control nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia. If you do not want to do water changes, DO NOT KEEP FISH.

  • Absoutely. Frequent water changes are most definitely a vital part of Aquarium keeping. If one's not willing to do this then don't have fish at all. I agree with you 100% !!! Thanks for the update.

  • Very nice monster fish collection. Thank you for sharing.

  • Thanks alot as I really appreciate it. I'm going to be adding some new videos really soon that you'll have to check out !!!

  • what is the deep bodied dark colored fish with the verticle stripes that is in with the oscars?

  • its a cichlidae butterkoferi.... bad idea in a tank that small as itll probably kill everything in there when it matures... but looking good none the less ;)

  • Thanks. My butterkoferi was a beast when I first picked him up. I had to move him around from tank to tank and keep him seperated from the rest of my guys. He's doing well so far as I'm making sure that he's not placed in with the small fry.

  • A frontosia. It's a little risky putting them in with aggressive fish like Oscars, because ocasionally Oscars do attack tank mates. They are an African Cichlid and can be very pricey as compared to other cichlids. Similar to a Flowerhorn in price.

  • I agree. I have 8 fairly large size Ocscars in a 210 gallon tank. I keep these guys seperated from all my other breeds of fish and they do really well all together by themselves. I'm not to familar with Flowerhorns but will find out more about them in the upcoming future.

  • a buttikoferi,

  • My buttikoferi koi is really growing and is aggressive with other fish particulary in smaller tanks. As soon as I added him to my biggest tank with the big guys. He chilled out alot and gave them respect. I recommend keeping this breed of fish in a seperate tank and away from smaller fish without a doubt.

  • He's a butterkoferi and growing big time.
