I suppose this gives you more practice, but an artificial wave is kind of cheating. You're supposed to dodge the sharks and get dunked every now and then. But it seems you have more opportunity for pratfalls this way, so it looks like it pays you back.

@L3gendary101 very different if u still wondering. first u gota paddle bro and waves aint perfect they got barrels, walls all types of crap and if u can do this decent u would probably last 5 seconds standing up on a wave.

@L3gendary101 very easy. Real waves vary much more, and can be much more steep. Imagine dropping into a half pipe at the skate park on your stomach and then having to stand up, but even worse because there's water in your eyes, and the pipe is constantly shifting because it's made of rushing water...

@Darkrocker007 Generally no. It's a springy, soft, trampoline like surface you fall on and you also fall in water. But if you fall in the wrong way like on your neck or something then yeah it can hurt. For the most part it doesn't hurt at all though
