I just noticed something. After the silly cliched exposition of 'I got me a deadly poisoned needle in my ring', he misses a punch and hits the wall flat on, leaving a fairly visible indentation. What's the problem? Beyond possibly breaking his knuckles, it would have wrecked the ring and in a worst case scenario, forced the needle back into his own hand, killing him.

Great -Grandson? What a load of bull! Vald the Impaler lived in the 15th century. A 'great-grandson' would have been in the 16th century, considering that he passed away in 1476 (he was born in 1431).
