  • @VzA98 Are you using "S" for foot dive, or forward + "H"? If the latter, then quickly press L+M or M+H plus the direction you want to go, for example: diagonal down/forward. Timing is key, again, but if you've been using special for foot dive, you want to get that down first.

  • @cirusthevirus1001 You can try double tapping the d-pad down/forward, or use triangle+square+down/forward or triangle+circle+down/forward (which I've found to be much quicker and easier). From there, it's all timing.

  • @BlazedtotheMax hey, do you mean just getting the relaunch or what? because you need to make sure to catch them EARLY in the air with your mediums, and delay the medium after the air-dash-down-forward, so that you and the opponent are low enough for them to still be in hitstun when you hit cr.m cr.h

  • @byronblaze I think you're doing the wrong foot dive. Try doing foward heavy if you weren't already. Then remember to airdash cancel by airdashing down-forward after the foot dive. If your problem is relaunching him then try to hit the opponent when they are closer to the ground with the last M then do cr.M, cr.H, S. If none of these are your problem then ask again or someone else.

  • @trunksbrief1 Yes he does, but Zero has a small difference in damage in contrast with Doom and people might prefer Doom after Zero also because Doom has more life points, Zero will get killed easily with a well-conected combo. Maybe that's the reason

    Yes it's doable in the corner. But in the corner, you are better off just doing

  • @rivalintraining no, there arent any infinites in the game, (well, there shouldnt be). hitstun deterioration stops it after what you saw

  • i'm having trouble on the second loop, (i'm using control) when i'm about to lift captain america the second time, he recovers after my air c.M, i can't hit the ground c.M, so i can't do the H and the S to finalize it. what's happening? ;-; maybe it's just a matter of timing, but it doesn't seem like it.

  • How do u keep doom IN the air after the footdive??? ive been trying this with not too much luck... when i footdive in the air it sends my opponent straight down to the ground and im airborn but theres kinda a delya before i can be seen on the screen..i dont know how else to explain.. can anyone help??

  • @YAMiLiEBLiN allright listen, it's a little tricky, you hit j.M then hit the footdive (do not use the footdive with j.S but use his unique move forward heavy in air) then you airdash!! Thats why your way isn't working, so airdash immediately after the footdive and your dash direction needs to be forward-down. Then youre able to hit another j.M, you might wanna wait till your opponent gets closer to the ground for easier relaunching. then cr.M, cr, H, S. And you'll relaunch, there's ur combo!!

  • @YAMiLiEBLiN not sure if you already found out, but your using the S footdive, the one show here is air-foward Heavy, wich is a more tilted footdive but after you connect that hit immediatly dash to cancel it out, hope this gets to you in time latz

  • @gomezfx try to catch them with sj.M as soon as possible after the every launch. If they get launched too high at any point in the combo the second loop will be too far from the ground complete. So aim for the bottom of the hit box while in the air.

  • @icewish45 I have been working on this combo for about 2 hours, I'm using a PS3 controller, and I can say it is possible. If you're having trouble doing the dragon punch motion you can try holding forward then sliding to down then back to forward. Doing it this way requires that you press it faster but it's slightly easier than trying to press right then down then down-right.

  • @icewish45 LMAO, Same thing happens to me. I need to wait an hour or so that the first part is burned into muscle memory than I can think past that part. LMAO Since MVC2 its been like that for me.

  • @kountryboishawty You have to hit j.M as soon as possible after the launch and it helps to airdash-cancel the foot dive as soon as possible. After that you just have to delay the j.M as long as possible before you hit the ground. After about 2 hours of practice I can do the first loop 100% of the time and the second loop about 50%. I haven't successfully finished the combo because I forget how to use my fingers after the 2nd loop.

  • @Maximin00 Update: just did it! I believe the 3 most critical moments are hitting j.M asap after the launch, airdash-cancelling the foot dive asap, and waiting until the last possible moment to hit j.M again. The closer is simple so once you get the loop it's easy. =P

    Got it down also after a little while. A good thing to note is that if you hit j.M too early after the first Foot dive/airdash you can delay the c.M when you land a bit to let your opponent fall closer to the floor, this won't work on the second footdive/airdash due to decayed hitstun but it's nice to remember if you missed your timing on the first.

  • Why do people post these videos without giving the inputs or any directions at all? I'm a new player trying to learn the game as this is my first fighter, I see all these people online doing sick combos, I try to do the same in training with no avail. So whats next? I hit the internet the worlds most valuable source for information, now not only do I find a bunch command inputs for combos that make no sense to me(Cr.L, Cr.M, DHC Etc.) But Then i hop on youtube to find Sick combos with directions

  • @D4Gamers Notation for fighting game inputs is its own language. If you really want to improve your game, you'll have to put forth the effort and learn it. You can't expect to solve math equations if you don't even know what numbers are, can you?

  • @D4Gamers Your best bet is to go to SRK forums and read the glossary and basic fundamentals there. Just be glad you get combo vids from Tragic and with every single character. Back in my day we didn't have youtube vids. We learned our combos in the arcade where you can actually ask the guy next to you how he did that sick combo :P

  • @nap225 You can footdive and cancel the float-away animation with an airdash to cr.L. Footdive is slow and dangerous so I'd recommend calling in an assist to cover your approach. If you really want to be good then you have to learn how to triangle dash. Once you learn how then use that to approach.

  • @macauleymcCulkin Haha I didnt notice you posted this first, but I think I found the answer to what we're both doing wrong. After launching, you need to press sj.M as quickly as possible. You'll notice that after you do sjM for both hits into f+H dive kick and dash down, the opponent will be much closer to the ground.

    Our problem is that after the 2nd launch, we let them fly up too high before hitting with sjM. Timing is really tight, you basically have to hit M once you start jumping.

    the second loop is harder with lag though its like ... im pressing it with my eyes closed if i have the timing well enough cause looking at the screen just messes you up ..

  • @macauleymcCulkin I usually don't settle for "easier" combos, but landing the downH for the second time is really tough if your timing isn't perfect. If they're still to high off the ground, sometimes I just go for c.M launch for the second loop.

  • @aschreplica Nvm realized he can footdive 2 ways... :P

  • @aschreplica are you using L+M for dash? I used to try to air dash by double tapping, but of course that's a lot slower :p after you do the forward+H, immediately move the direction to downforward and hit L+H, then try to time the M from there. :)

  • Dr doom has been watered down a bit. He has lost one of his best supers. That electric fireball super he had in Marvel vs Capcom 2. But then again, we are talking about a character who uster be a boss in one of the Marvel games! But still that super was the shit!

    rofl, have you not heard of damage scaling? Besides, nobody online will do this to you in the heat of an actual match. The amount of skill and execution to pull some of these combos off is kinda nerve-racking.

  • @Orlhajoetoe Well online no, because of lag it'd throw all of this off immensely. Offline the execution required for the second launch/first rep is pretty lenient before hit scaling. Like the 3rd launch/second rep is the trickiest bit because you have to hit them at the right height. Too high and you can't combo, too low and they recover.

    In the corner, an easier variant for 3rd launch is sj.M, sj. f+H, air dash df M, land cr. M cr. H, S, sjM, sj f+H, airdash df M, S, land, H, S, (juggle ender)

    It's worth noting though that in a corner it's possible to get a 100% or close to it combo with Lv1 X-Factor.

    If memory serves the notation is:

    5M > 5H > S > j.M > j.6H > j.2AB > j.M (just before you hit the ground) > S (relaunch) > j.M > j.S > 5H > 623H > Sphere Flame > XFC > Sphere Flame

  • @Naok1 Gotta do faster inputs because as combos go on in this game the hit stun lessens on hit. Meaning that you will have to push buttons faster probably.
