its bs - whats the point of having a special day to show "love and affection" when if you have someone you love, you can do that every day of the year. if you really care about someone, you will treat them like the best thing in the world everyday.
Even though I don't have anyone today I still like and appriciate the holiday for what it is. I'm not bitter about the day and those who are have security issues. The way I look at it is that I'll have many V-days to come in the future, but not now is all.
