I'm on the Ring one or two times a year and believe me, those locals could drive a Dacia Logan and they would still be faster than you! They are incredible because they know every corner!

Yea that's what I'm saying. He can easilly keep up with them, but eh probably doesn't know the track all to well. Give him 2 laps maybe 3, he'll be running hard every turn to the inside.

if you know the ring well, you can even do a 10min run on that track in a Ford Transit, like Sabine Schmitz did, also here on youtube.

There are people that live there and drive the Nordschleife almost every day. You would expect them to be quicker than someone who takes a trip over for the first time, no matter what they drive.

maybe the 911 driver doesn't know the 'ring as the others in the bimmer & the golf..coz he looks as he can go fast..

That's true, I don't know the ring as well as the locals, and both cars were tuned up. In fact I really struggled on some sections to catch up with the BMW which makes me think it is not a standard car. But most importantly I'm just not willing to experiment on the Ring with my own car and I have noticed I loose a lot of time on the tight corners.

Good solid drive mate, I went last year in my BMW 320d, learnt the track well before I went and while I was there, its not a place to be taking risks for no reason, especialy in a nice car like the GT3, now how to get those bikers out the way eh :P hehehe
