We've used the YouTube Keyword Tool, but never in conjunction with the External Keyword Tool from Google. Thanks for the tip! One question: Does this mean the search algorhythms are completely distinct for Google & YouTube?

@Camcontactscom Yes, YouTube's algorithm is different from Google's, although there are some overlapping principles, especially with its use of metadata.

Using both Keyword Tools is helpful because what people are searching for at Google is not always what they're searching for on YouTube, the world's second most popular search engine.

I started tagging all my videos as well with the Google and YouTube suggestion tools. I've seen a bump in traffic, especially when I make videos relative to holidays or events. Keep up the awesome tips, this channel is really insightful.

Great video! I've used the Google Keyword Tool, but never the YouTube tool. I thought they were the same thing. I guess not. Now I'm going to use both! Thanks for the links and stay awesome!

very informative, always think about google keyword search but forget about Youtube. Nice thing if you do a decent video, you are suddenly on the front page of google search in youtube.
