im looking for an episode where a mother loses her son when he was a baby and they get reunited at the end and she is holding a single flower. i know that info isnt very helpful but does anyone know this episode and can help me find it? thank yhoo :) xoxo
Yes, that other girl was partially responsible because she did set the fire but let's not forget that it was that asshole, heartless frat boy that purposefully locked her into that room (even know he knew that the place was on fire). He should burn in hell.....This ending always makes me cry because of the friendship and it just breaks my heart (especially because her death was so cruel).
I couldn’t bear watching it, so I looked for the ending on youtube. Seemed like all other cop shows these days, where hipster minority cops are trying to catch their Great White Defendant. I wonder how much this militant misandristic revanchism contributed to the Duke Rape Hoax. Will there ever be an episode about angry prejudiced bitter lesbians who run colleges these days? That ‘ll be the day. I googled Meredith Stiehm. Seems like a typical American bitch. Probably single.
I watched this episode at my grandmothers. She walked in the room after this scene, and was like " Why are you crying" my only responce " I'm sad". Some people are so cruel, and this shows that.
The song before this was "Talk To You" by PGM and the ending song is "Fallen" by Sarah McLachlan. And no matter what other people say or think, I think that girl who plays Laurie is SO BEAUTIFUL ^^.
The scarf... that was what did me in... I was already barely containing the tears when they were exchanging the promise... but the scarf that... was what killed me...
@lemondragon18 Legally, she committed arson, which is a crime. And they could probably get her on additional charges as the fire she started caused the main girl's death.
@lemondragon18 It's sad but she was at least partially responsible for Laurie's death. Most likely she's be charged with manslaughter, though a judge could be lenient in sentencing given what she already went through and if she showed some remorse.
I thought that was beautiful. It was sad, too sad to even find the words fit for describing this feeling. Cold Case gives us the stories we can learn from; symbolically beautiful.metaphorically inspiring.
this is the best episode ive ever seen...this show is the best. the endings are always beautiful and sad...i always cry...call me emotional...i dont care
If this doesn't make you sad in any way - you don't have a soul. This episode made me cry my eyes out - the whole thing was rather sad, not just the ending. That girl who lit the fire shouldn't have been arrested. ;-;
actually the girl who started the fire killed others who got trapped in HER fire so shes just as guilty as the the guy who locked the victim in the house
Hard to admit... but I remember actually crying at the end of this episode. This song is the best. This is the episode that got me hooked on the show.
Some episodes in which the victim is hateful are 'Justice' in Season 5, 'Blackout' and 'Lonely Hearts' in Season 4, 'Maternal Instincts' and 'The Plan' in Season 1...
I was about to say Justice to, until I saw House's response. Another example (somewhat) would be "Thick as Thieves" where the victim was a con-artist.
I hate that episode because it made me feel very sad for a whole week, i wish i hadn´t seen it, it was very sad, very but very sad, it was still good , but it was very sad. I still love Cold case, thanks for the video
He deserved to be doused in BBQ sauce and flesh eating maggots while being slowly lowered into a furnace, the sick bastard deserved that and far worse for what he did, it was absoloutely unforgiveable however you look at it. This is easily one of the saddest episodes, I always cry when I watch it
i saw it yesterday & i was crying my eyes out, literally, but i also cried at the beginning, when she takes the picture with her father, probably because i knew he was gonna be hurt in this episode..
3:27-3:40 made me cry the first time i saw this episode on tv. idk why but when she nods her head it seems like she's telling him he's doin a good job takin care of her father like she asked.
maybe im the only one who got that from the nod. haha
Good thing they go rid of that Jo Sutton character, she was the only bad thing to happen to CC (in my opinion of course!) - and yay for Detective Miller, who rocks :)
That episode aired a few hours ago here in Germany, and it is without any doubt one of the most moving episodes of the whole series. The scene where they hug each other made me cry for the rest of the evening :'( Just thinking about it brings the tears to my eyes.
Like I said in other videos, this episode beats the premiere for season 3. Family was nowhere near as awesome as The Promise and they should have been shown in opposite order. The season started out mediocre but turned out FANTASTIC!
the girl that was arrested cause a fire in the fraternity house, the fraternity leader locked the victim inside a room and she died from the smoke. The old guy was part of the fraternity too
The girl who died went to a Party with the guy who stayed with her when she died and the people holding the party made a contest for "fattest" girl and crowned the deceased winner, then her other so called friends started a fire to kill the guys, but the girl went back in to warn her best friend guy, then the dude who crowned her winner locked her in the room and she suffocated.
@xKayoni This doesnt make the episode any less sad, I still cry anytime i see it but can I just comment she suggested they set the fire before she went back to talk to him because she wanted to hear what he said? I mean the girl had just been raped...i don't think most rape victims are in their right minds right after it happens...just saying...not saying she deserved to die that horrible death though
I remember seeing this episode when it came out. I think its terrible that people actually do treat people differently just because they may be overweight or attractive as others. Everyone has a heart and feelings. Wish I would have been at the party in the episode because I would have kicked the hell out of everyone of those guys treating those girls like that.
This episode made me cry too. It's sad on a number of levels- the promise between the two best friends, and the girl's devotion to her father and why the fire started. I think it's sad also that the girl got arrested for starting the fire, because she clearly wasn't in her right mind, who wouldn't be when she'd gone through what she did?
This was the first episode of Cold Case I watched right though, and was very impressed and even started tearing during the final scenes. Sadly, I am yet to find another episode with the same impact.
The head of the fraternity (the first guy arrested), because he locked her in the room while the frat house was burning. The girl who's having her photos taken set the house on fire, but didn't know she was inside. The politician was at the party and did horrible things.

The guy arrested locked the girl in the house, the girl started the fire and the man took part in humiliating the victim.

It also shows how mean people can be.
