When I was in middle school two of my friends sat me down and made me watch this show. We watched every episode together throughout the shows entirety, and now the three of us are all accepted into medical schools together. Not the same ones but the point is watching this show, and this episode in particular is why when I graduate I emulate the qualities these characters have.
An exceptional episode, one of the best ever, and easily the best of the season. Granted, My Finale was great too, but this episode just worked on more levels in my opinion. It's Scrubs at its emotional, philosophical, beautiful best.
this reminds me of my gran dieyng, she went 2 years ago now, and i can just remember seeing her for the last time in the hospital bed, she had cancer and there was no way of helping her. she told me that one day i will go on to live a great life and that i shouldnt stop looking towards the future. she was the best person in my life.
It's the episodes like this that made Scrubs a beautiful show. Something that can make me laugh so hard i fall off my chair, to somthing that can make me cry all over my keyboard in 5 minutes.
I'd like to think somewhere, there are doctors like JD and Turk, who will do the same for me one day....
i know why this is my all time fav episode...it's because the character george reminds me of when my daddy died and how proud he lived his life... dying makes you uncomfortably vulnerable.
1:08 This makes me laugh since they're later both on the show Cougar Town together (which is odd that I find it so funny, since I don't watch that show-- except for that one crossover episode with Ted from Scrubs!!!, also featuring a brief cameo of Abed from Community).
this is the power of scrubs. ur laughing the one moment... but when the end comes, the lesson is learned and the harsh truth hits you that he is gonna die, you pink away a tear. i know no other show that can do that to me. and that is why scrubs is so precious to me and i rewatch it over and over... still cant believe they stopped after 8 (no, i dont count seasons 9. it sucked balls)
favorite episode...

I've been in a hospital once, and that was when I weighed no more than large brick. I can only hope most doctors are like the ones found in scrubs

If I was dying shortly in a hospital, I would want doctors like JD and Turk to do just that for me.

@cavedweller2000 He said he'll stuff Carla and Turk when they die, and that he'll put them right next to each other.

Greatest show ever. Season 8 was awesome, really stepped it up after kind of a weak season 7.

I find it amazing that even a rather elderly man can play so well. I mean he's maybe .. 76? He has been acting very well :-)
And that is such an emotional and .. beautiful episode :-)
Thank u very much for uploading :-)
