  • You are completely in love with how you can turn the air on and off on both sides.

    Great looking setup though.

  • sir how many liters of k1 did you use for this?

  • Looks good I mite give it a go my self

  • Great filter design. Looks nice, too. Can you tell me what you used as the "ring" to supply your air to your media? The circle around the pipe in the video, I mean. I have an AP-100 air pump supplying one bottom drain, and I think I can divert some of that air to a filter like this. Are you still happy with the way this filter performs? Thanks.

  • Hi, where did you get the sheet plastic to make the baffles, been looking all over

  • @plodplayer I went to the original maker of the filter box, which I bought back in 1996, called CD Aquatics in the Midlands. They dont make filter boxes any more but he had a few bits left which I bought off him. Not sure if he has any left now though.

  • can you tell me what type of air pump you have and how many ltrs

  • @lespauldfx Hi I used a Hailea ACO 9720 30L/m Pump as it was cheap. But it works fine. Hope this helps.

  • where you get your hardware

  • so is the left side where the static K1 is going? and is this an eric filter?

  • @poisonXvenom This is a conversion of an old 3 bay filter. The far left bay still has brushes in, the middle bay now has static K1 with the air feed for cleaning, and the far right bay now has a moving bed of K1. Hope that helps.

No this is not an ERIC filter, its a bit like a Nexus filter..
