@willbur1987mini I don't know if you are serious or not, but I helped talk him into getting rid of it. It was falling apart. His S10 will be soon, if it isn't already.
@roadragecustoms So what your saying is you built something that started to fall apart or did him bagging the shit out of the truck cause it to fall apart? Not to be a smart ass.
@DropDownLowrider The truck was a piece of junk before I started. He was having unrelated mechanical issues. He spent so much on the bags & stuff that he couldn't pay to fix the engine issues.
@roadragecustoms Ah I see! His prioritys weren't straight lol sounds a little like me. Im bagging my s10 with 240k but i got a 350SB going in when that dies so im ok for now ;)
the way to make it dance with bags is a big air tank and you drill out the dumps i dong do a return line like what most kits do i just drill them out and it drops fast and get a bag with mid sized in lets it works great i do the 4 link with c-notch too it looks good i work at a shop building theeses trucks there lot of fun to build and drive
whatever happened to appreciating what somone else likes. It isnt my style but i give him credit for being in the hobby. To each their own. No one is perfect and neither is everyones trucks.
@bcalibud Gee thanks. I weld up a bunch of parts purchased and picked out by the owner of the truck and make a video of it. Then just because the parts don't meet the standards of you & your Nissan, you say I suck? Show us what your truck looks like on video then we all can comment on it.
@roadragecustoms hey man im building a ranger im new to this i have the front done and everytign bagged slam baggs weldn to the tops of i beams,,anyways on the rear im doing a 2 link with bag on the bar what else am i going to need to keep the rear end from shifting besides shock mounts and a panhard bar ?
@bcalibud that truck is much more legit then ur truck n for him doin the work n puttin it on youtube that some respectable shit n plus baggs were ment to be slow thats why they bagged they ment to control the hight of ur ride thats the real reason fast airbags are a waste get hydrollics in stead but the true bagged trucks is bagged either slow or medium not fast
@luisnerv Joe owns the truck. He bought the parts & brought them to me. He paid me for the labor only-not as much as I would charge to do it again. Send a message to scrapsanddrags here on youtube. I think he knew a place to get a reasonable price.
@juangantala There were lots of things I wanted to do on the truck that I couldn't convince Joe to do. One was shorten the driveshaft. We moved the rear axle rearwards some instead.
@str8pincheloco That isn't my truck. I just did the work on the rear of it. The guy that owned it sold it soon after the video was made. I have seen notches built from 2x4 rectangular tubing too. If you make both sides the same, it doesn't have to look like everybody else. You could get creative & make it look original. Otherwise Google C notches & find a dealer or manufacturer that is willing to share templates (to make sure they'll fit your truck). Then cut your metal to fit.
@str8pincheloco The steel was about 1/4" thick. It was a C notch kit. Unless you have access to cheap metal, it's probably cheaper to buy the kit. As far as why it's wider at the bottom, you are more likely to need the room at the bottom than at the top. There is no real reason it couldn't be perfectly vertical if you have room for your suspension & axle housing. The angular shape may be a little stronger (like a gusset) than notches perpendicular to the frame.
yo what size valves did you use and how many psi are the bags, im about to make a truck and bag it and i dont want it to be leanin like a mofo going around corners and bouncing over bumps. a friend of mine has a nissan and his tuck has a hellacious lean when going around corners
Joe did his own plumbing. I did the metal work. I think he used 3/8" lines & valves. I also think he ran about 150 - 200 psi in the bags. I'll see him tomorrow & double check the numbers. I may have him reply to your message. His screen name is scrapsanddrags. (He can't spell scrapes!)
the Front was 1/2 Line W/ 1/2 Up Valve ( Closer to the tank) And 3/8 Dumps. ( thats 2 1/2 Ups & 2 3/8 Dumps) The Rear Was 3/8 Line W/ 1/2 Up And dump (only 2 Valves)i ran 150-230 Psi In the Tank .. and about 40Psi in the bags... I think the Reason why your Buddies Leans IS because He Might Not havea front Sway Bar. .... By Deleting The Front Swap Bar, The Front of the truck can go up faster, but it Will Sway Rele Bad, Thats what Happened to my blazer.
I'll check with Joe. I only did the rear. I'm pretty sure the bags were between the lower control arms & the frame. I can't remember if the truck came with torsion bars or coil springs.
I talked to Joe & it did have torsion bars. He said he removed the shocks on the front, removed the torsion bars, removed the bump-stop bracket, removed the sway bar, and added bag brackets to locate the bags on the lower arm & frame.
When Joe had it, he would repaint it regularly with spray cans. Every so often, he would show up & it would be a different color. He now has a black S10 Extreme bagged in the front. Rear mini notches and more bags may come soon. I'll get it on video if I get a chance.
I think Joe said the chrome wheels came from a Jeep. I didn't buy them so if I'm wrong don't hate me. See the comments on my other video "Toyota Front Air Bags".
