the captivate has a 2gb phone memory, a 16gb internal sd card, and u can attatch up to a 32gb microsd card. also if u go to the locale and text settings u can make the swype keyboard auto space so u dont have to hit the space button every time

I absolutely love this fone. I was a BlackBerry devotee for 4 years..this blows BB out of the water without taking names first. :) It is hands down the BEST fone I have ever had. So many Free Apps....it operates fast, smooth and has great access speed to internet. One thing I'm still trying to figure out is maximizing battery life. But that is so minor compared to what this can do. It has a great display...very crisp, clear and large. Enjoy!

@mkfan1997 The Data Fee for me is 30.00 and it includes unlimited usage of the Internet etc...It depends on what your contract currently is what they can offer you for a data plan..but I don't think it's any more than 30.00 ...I also added unlimited Txt msg years ago to my account which covers txt, photos etc. So definitely ask your AT&T dealer or if you are in a larger city and there are phone kiosks at your local mall, they can help you with all the details.

@cabral0333 Depends on what you want. I went to the ATT store the other day and played with this for over an hour. I was impressed by the apps, visual, and speed. It was larger than the iPhone which I liked because i have large hands. Ain't tripping about the lack of flash. The swype technology blew me away and the six-axis was quick. I haven't looked at the HTC though. Get your hands on one before you decide.

@kromen10 I had the Captivate for about a month. I ended up trading it for a Blackberry Torch. True...I did down grade to a less fancy screen but if you want GPS to work it sucks ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Neither my google maps nor AT&T Navigator works worth a shit!!!! Great picture and video though. Navigation was a deal breaker for me. Blackberry worked flawless.

@lmjames33 I have no problem with GPS On my Captivate...each app that depends on GPS location must be synced with Google Maps. ATT navigator is awful, and it's not free...but Google Maps works great on mine and it's free. Just make sure your settings are correct for the app you are using. I turn off GPS for all apps except my GoogleMaps (which is a street navigator program)...works fast and flawlessly for me.

@MissLeigh429 yes. I played around with one in the store. They have three types, t9, swype, and the qwerty that you can use from two different angles. They also have a sketchpad type where you can use your finger to write out the letters.

i love my captivate, i returned my iphone 4 for to get this thing, i would have to say though my iphone 4 got better battery life than the captivate does. one con it does not have a 3G/2G switch to save battery life like the iphone, other than that its a bad ass device.
