  • i wish she was in the finals instead of bross

  • It's a shame about her second pass because I believe it's what prevented her from knocking Bross out of the floor final. (Bross had a 13.9 too)

  • ...wow, what a finishing tumble!!! girl work!

  • I dont like her double layout!

  • get it Kayla!

  • She did front tumbling - the 1.5 through to double pike. Her split positions are also very VERY noticably NOT 180 degrees and her landings are dodgy. I can see why she got the score she did. I think it has great potential, though! That kid FLIES!

  • actually it's her side somi that she does right before her last pass that qualifies as her front somi element. the rules state, you need a front or side somi and that is why she tacks that side somi onto her routine

  • @MeanestCoachEver

A 1.5 does NOT count as front tumbling :/

She gets credit for front tumbling for her side somie.

  • i still dont understand why she didnt make finals... i think shes amazing on floor

  • she didnt have any front tumbling ..im pretty sure thats a requirement to have in floor routines.

  • @W0AHLIN0 well, she sorta has the side sumi in there

  • i know cut out Jessica Gil Ortiz Put in Kayla

  • she got a 13.9 she was first reserve

  • It will be awesome if Alicia truly returns. Then USA will have two strong vault contenders. I wonder If Alicia will try to layout her Vault as well ? Gonna have to do something magical to compete w/ that North Korean Babe !

  • ew that north korean is good, but she ain't no babe

  • roflmao

  • If you are talking about Alicias front 1 1/2 it is a layout already and one of the best out there just lacks a little distance sometimes.

  • I think you are the one who needs the glasses Alicia does a Layout Rudi D-Score 6.3 just like Kayla's Alicia does pike her vault a little but her vault is not a piked rudi, in fact her despite the slight piking her execution scores are way higher then Kayla's.

  • Yeah, umm ok Alicia's is Layout.....NOT ! ROFLMAO

  • If you think about it no one's is laid out or stretched completely. Not Vanessa Atler (who performed it first), not Chuso (whom it is named after), not Wang Tiantian, not Carlie Chacone, not Kaeslin, not Sacramone, not Williams...

"Oh shes American I guess I can bash her"

    Asshole.

  • well in the code of points it says " layout " if its not then there is a deduction. I'm American as well so get lost

  • That doesn't mean you can single out one person out of many who just happens to be successful and laugh at them like a psycho.

  • why i'm laughing at you chainchimp

  • Good for you

  • @GymCampos27 Because of the fact that alicia has more distance, and height off the horse than Kayla. She does it more explosive and has cleaner legs whereas kayla has a hint of untidy legs in her vault. I personally prefer Alicia's than Kayla's. Not saying hers is bad, just the overall performance :)

  • GOOD all people care abought is ivanna listen kayla acoplished 10 times more than she did here !

  • Don't forget Ivana is already a World Champion Gold medalist as well from 2007 Stuttgart Worlds !

  • kayla was only a level 10 last year! that is pretty amazing to go from being a level 10 one year to being a world champion on vault the next!

  • her leaps might not be great but the improvement since the US Classic is incredible

  • Damn, a piked full in as a last pass?? badass

  • remember guys 5 months ago she had just become jr national champion. Now she's the world vault champion.

  • too bad that she didnt qualify. i was there to watch finals and i was shocked not to see here there... i really wanted her to medal!!!

  • umm!, Ivana gets as much deductions as Kayla, so......?

  • If you can honestly say this presntation is nice than Ivana..you need glasses then

  • you should be a comedian...lol, if you would had put Ivana on floor rather than Kayla, she would had received the same score or lower. It's funny how people all of the sudden love Ivana, I wonder is it because she trains at Nastia's gym....lol

  • ahhh...wrong ! Loved Ivana since first time I 've seen her in 2005. Don't hate...Congratulate !

  • Lets put it like this...Kristen Maloney was a better dancer ! I could do this same choreography on stage

  • Good for you, Im pretty you can dance in your own mind..lol, All that I'm saying is that Martha did the right thing to put Kayla on the floor instead of Ivana, Kayla tumbles well, landings are good and bad flexibility, Ivana tumbling is so-so and her landings are horrid, some of her leaps are questionable as well. Throwing a few poses around is NOT what I call dance and not what I call artistry, I love Ivana, I loved her old floor, but the move to WOGA wasn't a good one in my opinion.

  • We won't agree on Ivana obviously. And where should of Ivana went to Parkettes ? CGA ? oh no, I know where you are thinking Scats, no maybe Orlando Metro. This seems to of been a smart mover for her ( woga )

  • Oh no!, I like Ivana believe me I adore her, but all Im saying is I don't get hype around her, she has not improved since she left GAGE, therefor I think her move to WOGA wasn't a good one. There are other Gyms she could have went to other than the gyms you named (which is funny you only named the ones with bad rep). She could have attended All Olympia, HIll's, Chow's, in fact Hills would had been the best choice for her since bars is her weakness.

  • I always thought of Hills for her. Maybe even CGA or I could see her at Charter Oak. Maybe All Olympia or Charter Oak would be good for personal reasons as her Father is there. But the move to WOGA did not improver her form, she had beautiful form and technique before she arrived at WOGA

  • ....imagine if she would of moved to Bieger Intl ? lol

Actually , I could see her training along side Sloan ?

  • Oh please don't say Bieger Intl again ..lol, After some thinking I admit I was pretty unfair about WOGA, she only been there for a year, and that isn't enough time to fix her flaws, hopefully as the yrs pass we will see an improvement. and If Valeri can get Ivana to level of gymnastics I know she is capable of doing, then WOGA should be the new national training center.

  • yes, but kristen didn't have a successful olympics.

have you seen the CNN parkettes fluff, like all the girls in the video are always faliing on beam, floor etc.

  • yeah i guess but they still r a lot better than most teams...they hav 20 elites!

  • @xTorresGirlx yeah but everyone falls sometimes, cnn just used a lot of those clips 2 make everything more dramatic

  • yes of course! i know everyone falls but when u usually see fluffs of gymnasts in training, they don't usually show their falls. but in the parkettes all they showed were falls. :S

  • @xTorresGirlx but i still think its 2 make the documentary more dramatic

  • oh ok.

  • great job. this type of floor is really hard and slippery. im really happy how well all of the athletes did

  • If she was in a later qualification round she would have qualified ahead of Bross into finals. Too bad really. Kayla is so awesome on floor and vault. Bravo to Marta for brining her to worlds!

  • wow sloppy kayla.... point those toes.. and get off the floor i hate when gymnast just roll around on the floor like that in there choreography

  • They have to do that, it's a requirement.

  • well duh... i meant she just kept rolling like to much....

  • ugh!!!, so tired of you Nastia fanatics.

  • Remember though that Un Hong Jong had a pretty big upset to get that title...

  • That was well improved, good job!

  • Sry but she was better than Rebecca Bross. Needs better form though, she reminds me of Tia Orlando in a way

  • Those leaps are horrid. If this is what Gymnastics wants for floor routines it explains why the sport is in such sorry state.

  • she does some really nice tumbling!!

  • too bad. a little bit better of a landing on her double pike and a little bit better on her full in double pike and she definitely would have qualified.

  • What an amazing story! Kayla qualified first on vault, beating the Olympic champion, and is the first reserve for floor. Pretty amazing for a girl who was a level 10 earlier this year!
