You can do anything you can do with a sub 600 dollar laptop on this netbook. Unless you will use it for real work I would not use it for study and for small assemblies on the go its great. Just dont expect great things but for 240 that I spent on it you cant beat that!!! I use more than my 15 in dell.
DONT DO THAT! Don't you know netbooks don't have the processing speed capable enough to run and render almost any type of 3d software..Its more of an email, internet, word, movies..that sorta thing..very light. The reason it was slow zooming in and out is because the object has to render, and the integrated video chip can't render it at a good speed because it is weak!
As you can see it was a bit slow in zooming and opening the assy file but the software is fully functional. If you your working with individual parts its fast. FEA is also fully operational on it and has no problems running analysis, All of my fellow colleagues were impressed. Two or three asked were to get the Dell mini.
im in an advanced robotics class in my high school and we use SolidWorks all the time. i need a computer that will run it for the versions they give us that last the school year. would a dell mini be good for it or will it lag enough that i should choose something else
i wish a overclock in the video driver :D 190 to 250 and a full 300!!!! MHz

yeah, because when you get a program that takes too much processing speed, your processor will blow up. lol
