I have this on vhs video..watched it again last night while I was in bed..had not seen it in years..still very hard to watch...very raw...Farrah did an amazing job..The thing that still ticks me off it is that her character kept going back to that guy, she knew better, but she kept going back..sometimes I think this movie should be required viewing for high school kids, especially girls. If a dude hits ya once, chances are he will keep doing it..as the saying goes, 'love should not hurt'.
She's a murderer and an arsonist. She should have been put down as a terrorist. She put the children in deathly danger. She stole their Father, the money maker for the kids.If she didn't like him,she should have voted with her feet.Move out.
@Alexia8099 1) A terrorist has a political motive. She had no political motive, she was just trying to stay alive. 2) The children were never in any danger, except of course from their father. Can't be good for them to see their mother being slowly beaten to death. 3) The only thing stopping her from getting a job was HIM. He beat her when she tried to get training, remember? 4) She tried to leave--he forced his way back into the house.
You're 0 for 4. Your ignorance & misogyny are appalling.
@Alexia8099 Are you really this dense? Come on now, you are just trying to stir up a shit storm aren't you? You really don't believe what you are saying do you? If you do believe this then you are either a wife beater yourself or you are just a douche bag plain and simple.
Farrah Fawcett was incredible in this. She's a very underrated actress. She was a first class talent famous for being in a TV show that didn't begin to tap her abilities.
@Quatorzel4 Yes, I did see it and Farrah was awesome! Ryan O'Neal played the boyfriend in a minor role and . . . believe it or not, one of my uncles played Farrah's obviously menacing father in a bit part in which he was using a knife to peel an apple at his front door. Love Farrah. To me she was a priceless, though fragile vessel of great ability, underappreciated by many who should have known better.
@JMU1023 lol Every female know what type of man they are envolve with. Make sure you pick them right, my husband clean , cook and is very calm. I will you luck
@sexy28slim Agree and its also about being the right person to the other partner..I know some good guys out there and I say this as a women that have some mean cold bitchy girlfriends or wifes..that almost seem abusive to them..only there seems to be more outspoken support towards women when it comes to this type of stuff because guys dont speak much about it or have much resourses like women do.
@JMU1023 If you need to actually show this sort of movie to a future hubby in order for them to "behave themselves" then I would suggest you get a new hubby and some counseling.
@JMU1023 Men should just have the common sense not to hit a woman, if you have to make your fiancé watch this to get it through his head then don't bother getting married.
