  • frank miller is a very amazing storyteller and artist i love all his comics except two

  • When I was Younger, I was told that Sin City was the greatest comic book ever written.

  • When I was a kid, I was really intrigued by Frank Miller. Then I started to think that violence for the sake of violence was kind of boring.

  • @2823peyton True. I fear he'll never regain the fire of his prime.

  • I love this guy. Anyone that pisses liberals off with such fervor is a friend of mine.

  • A genius in his field, no doubt about it. Don't agree with his worldview but that doesn't detract from his abundant talent.

  • Pity. This guy got so crazy with age. Don't know quite what to think of old Frank "Get off my lawn you arabs" Miller, but I try to keep his present self different in my mind from his past successes.

Even if Ronin was kind of crap.

  • right wing arsewipe

  • he reminds me of Robert Englund, aka Freddie Krueger

  • His voice....its full of fear.

Fucking pussy. People like this have ruined America through McCarthyism, the growth of our "national security" agencies, and then the patriot act. Mount Rushmore should be replaced by frank miller with a worried expression watching CNN and hiding under a blanket. PUSSY!

  • @MjXllcommando This video has nothing to do with politics. Not every one in entertainment is a libtard, stop crying about it.

  • @MjXllcommando

    Your post...it's full of plagarism(of TAA's video).

    Fucking sycophant.

  • Holy Terror is crap, Frank is an asshole.

  • This guy is an asshole. He ignores the crimes of america (like say, the coup in Chile 1973) and condemns democratic participation in society.

  • This guy is a ahole. Don't buy his stuff. Lets show how much powerful the people can be,

  • @bigoxtailbone2

    Yes. Burn whatever is offensive.

This is like Fahrenheit 451 coming to life.

  • @SuperWillHatch Oh, I agree. Take your Frank Miller to your local used book store and sell it. No reason to put yourself out of resources. Maybe then some kid won't waste his money paying full price.

  • @ZeusYourUncle your an asshole i mean you say that frank miller is this crappy washed up guy that what he created is not good true not everything he's done is good but everybody has there bad stuff that doesn't make it right you can say this stuff about

frank miller he is one of the greatest in his field and it would be a dream for anyone to do just one of his books and p.s Alan moore is kind of a douche

  • fuck u bitchez frank is my dad!

  • From one of the parody comics written by Alan Moore..

"The City. It's grim. It's gritty. It's realistic. It's probably Noo Yawk. It's definitely...The End."

  • He sounds a little different from other interviews he did...

  • I personally think Frank Miller is better than Alan Moore.

  • @findmestudios who doesnt the only thing moore has on miller is watchmen

  • @findmestudios Don't be ridiculous, Miller's not in the same writing league as Moore.

  • I loved The Dark Knight Returns. However, I strongly disliked The Dark Knight Strikes Back. Batman was just to mean and tough. If that makes sense.

  • @tacojimmy69 dude, he created the batman we know and love today.

  • @amostills no he did not was batman was dark back in the early days and in the 70's he just made it poplar

  • @JayDee284 Sure, The Denny O'neil/Neil Adams comics definitely led up to what Frank did in the 80s. But Honestly, The Batman we see in Batman:Year One was almost a completely different character. Deeper, Flawed, and Driven. The 70s comics were dark, but not realistic.

  • @amostills yes but whot I am saying is that Frank Miller did not make Batman The Dark Knight again after the silver age all he really did add a bit more too Batman

  • @amostills you want realism? watch out your window. comics are for imagination, hense why there are people dressing up and kicking ass. its not real in any way. but niether is realit shows

  • @JayDee284 batman was not dark in the early days. ive read them.. people say they are but nooooo, maybe in the day he was dark but not in the same way as DKR.

  • @joker9494949494 he used guns and killed

  • @JayDee284 he used a gun once and it was against the monk/vampire/werewolf guy. killing isnt dark, happens on daily tv all day long

  • @joker9494949494 Uh Batman had a respectable body count prior to Robin coming along, He knocked a crook into a vat of acid in Detective Comics # 27 kicked a crook off a building in # 28 let a criminal burn to death in # 29 broke a criminal's neck in # 30, hurled one thug against another thug's sword and knocked a villain out of a window in #35 and knocked another one into a sword in #37 And coldbloodedly executed a truck full of bad guys with a machine gun in Batman # 1.

  • @cha5 well he used to be a darker character but they ruined it around world war 2 because he became more campy

  • @765brushspawn Well for me my favorite era of the early Batman stories was 1939-1945 up until Jerry Robinson left the Batman comics line, by the late fourties it just didn't have the same flavor, and by the 1950s Mort Weisinger "inspired" things like 'Ace the Bathound' 'The Zebra Batman' 'Gorilla Batman' put the camp factor into overdrive.

  • I have never heard anyone compare Frank Miller to Alan Moore.

  • @phiveson Honestly I'd say the Frank Miller who wrote Ronin, DKR, and Batman: Year One is better than Alan Moore.

  • @phiveson because frank destroys miller in any sense.

  • @phiveson They're definitely on the same page fame wise, but the similarities end there.

  • @phiveson

Them 2 are the best, shame Stan hasnt done anything good in decades ( I felt bad saying that), Grank Miller and Alan Moore rock.

  • @phiveson Alan Moore has compared himself to Frank Miller. Of course, Moore's a decent chap who will give credit where credit is due. Miller, on the other hand, can't even be bothered to mention that Wolverine series he did with Claremont....

  • Not as good as alan moore, kind f lost his mind after sin city.

  • It's so sad. This genius writer (and decent artist) who changed comic books, is hated by hundreds because he's written two bad books. His entire thirty year career is rendered null and void because he made a couple of Batman parodies that nobody got.

  • @WorkSucksMedia it's not that nobody got them it's that nobody wanted Batman parodies we want Batman frank not Crazy Steve the Hobo in the Batsuit

  • @JayDee284 Ok, I guess that's true

  • my influence

  • Man he is really camp.

I expected him to be really tough and with a gruff voice like his batman

But his voice is higher than my cousin's who is ten. And a girl

  • I had the chance to see Mr. Miller in person in 1994 at Rome, Italy in a comic book convention (Expocartoon at Fiera di Roma). Despite DK2, he continues to be one of the most importants comics creators of all time aside Eisner, Hogarth, Alan Moore, Kirby, Carl Barks, among others.

  • his art is rediculously bad, and his stories are either copied or just historically inaccurate when he tries to be accurate.

his face even pisses me off :-/

reminds me of a jew ...

  • @xjsk88 well i think his art is amazing, probably my favorite out of comic books, his stories are wonderful, he dosent give two SHITS about what you think, he did what he wanted to do and what he wanted to draw. it isnt about what you think, books arent like that. writing books is about the writer. he dosent try to be completely accurate its a COMIC BOOK dip shit. you want realistic go watch a documentary. and he reminds you of a jew? REALLY? i hope you burn to death. :)

  • @pvtsorrel Miller is a goddamn racist who uses his popularity to spread his own opinions. I have not a single doubt that if he had all the power he would become something close to hitler (who was also an artist ironically). This man is dumb as fuck and drags his fans into his pit of ignorance. And the comment section is for commenting isn't it? People who have the ability to think might find my arguments and comments a little more useful than "he is the best!".

  • @Shahin2102 There's a big difference between ancient Persians an modern Iranians.

  • @ItsMeWario2 yes, because ancient persians are ancestors of modern day persians, not modern day Iranians.

Modern day Persians however have everything in comon with ancient Persians.

  • @Shahin2102 So countries don't change at all overtime? Hating Nazis is not the same as hating modern Germans. Even modern Germans themselves see Nazi Germany as a terrible country. And besides, the way the Persian were portrayed in 300 was more from the point of view from the Spartans, not the writer.

  • @ItsMeWario2 yes they do, but that doesn't make it a whole different world now does it?

Those persians are still my ancestors. They were the ones who built our country and they were the ones that we use as examples to live in virtue. If some racist asshole depicts us as monsters, as savages, as subhumans, then I do have a problem with that. And miller clearly showed his feelings towards the Persians who were against this movie and I can assure you its not the "spartan" pov but his.

  • @Shahin2102 You are savages and sub-human pigs that sent children into mine field. You are all cowards and you prove that by being a blocking coward. Evertone who reads this comment should know that Shahin2102 is a blocking coward that supports sending kids into mine fields because his savage sub-human people of Iran were to cowardly to sweep the mine fields. Iran is full of pussy cowards and you are one of them!!!

  • @pbgw123456 are you that pathetic to even follow my comments and to twist my words in some sad attempt to demonize me?

If you want me to verbally kick your ass you can just comment on the page we were talking instead of spreading your verbal diarrhea on my profile.

  • @Shahin2102 You know I was verbally kicking your ass and that is why you blocked me. You are a worthless coward. Please waslk through a mine field since you support that idea. COWARD. You can run but you can't hide. You think blocking me will work? WRONG CAMEL JOCKEY!!!!

  • @Shahin2102 If your point is that I don't know all that much about your country, then point proven. But then again you are just an individual. I've seen Frank Miller's website and saw a comment from an Iranian that was quite positive and he also said that he didn't have a grudge against Frank for 300.

  • @ItsMeWario2 "nazi" is an ideology and therefore, as you said, does not mean "modern day germans". But we're not talking about that. "Persian" is a people, and today that people still exists under the name of "Persians". So when this guy depicts "Persians" as (black) inferior human beings he insults an entire existing race. I can analize his entire comic book of 300 for you to prove you that Miller used symbolics, anaphores, analogies, parallellisms and other subliminal techniques to insult.

  • @Shahin2102 You just don't get it, do you? Making a statement about a country's history isn't the same as making a statement about the state a country is in today. Or are you in denial of your country's history and think everything was always perfect in your country unlike every other country in the world?

  • @ItsMeWario2 No you don't quite get it. But then again, you're not a person who probably ever suffered from discrimination, racism or any other kind of backward treatment based on your culture, ethnicity or history. I do not think that my country has ever been perfect. No country is/was. But that's not what this is about. I can live with a movie like "Alexander" where persians are portrayed as the losing side. Why? Because it's the truth.

  • @Shahin2102 Like I said before, the way the Persians wad portrayed, Frank Miller was putting himself in the Spartan's shoes. Same principle applies to how the Athenians were referred to as "boy lovers". If you have a problem with being able to view things from the perspective of the protagonists rather than your own beliefs, well excuse Frank.

  • except there's one thing: the protagonist is FRANK'S INVENTION, thus everything the protagonist thinks or does comes from Frank's ideas. Spartans never claimed to believe such a thing about Persians and you know why? Because both before and after the Greco-Persian wars the Spartans very often cooperated with the Persians as allies. But the white supremacist does not think about that fact. No, in his eyes it is just a battle between white and coloured, and thus between good and evil.

  • @Shahin2102 "If I allowed my character to only share my own attitudes and beliefs, my work would be darn boring."

    - Frank Miller

  • @ItsMeWario2 "On the video tapes I saw a reflection above my head that looked like a halo, as if I were a messenger of God"

    - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

    Seeing my point here?

  • @Shahin2102 he was drunk while he said that btw. lmao, stupid american.

  • @xjsk88 drunk or not he's an idiot. And I'm not american (thank god).

  • @Shahin2102 we all have our own opinions.

  • @ItsMeWario2 I don't understand why it's so hard for you to understand that insulting an entire culture is not ok. We're not talking about a 'statement'. We're talking about an INSULT. If you don't see how portraying Persians as subhumans is morally wrong, then you've got issues man, not me.

  • @ItsMeWario2 Tell me, if someone made a movie about the ancient Greeks and put the emphasis on their homosexuality, their use of slaves, their pederasty and pedophilia, their corruption, their backstabbing and comon habit of breaking treaties, their pillaging and their arrogance, wouldn't the present day Greeks be pissed off? Wouldn't their anger be justified?

But you probably haven't thought of that, because that involves Europeans. Those rules don't count when it comes to whites huh?

  • @Shahin2102 americans are europeans dipshit.. lol

  • @joker9494949494 No shit sherlock! How old are you, twelve?

  • @Shahin2102 well you failed to mention that.. there is a reason people are sereotypical. its because typically those genres of people do that, i'm actually 2 :3 lmfao.

  • @joker9494949494 I wasn't the one making comments on stereotypes. I don't have anything against stereotyping as long as its meant to be funny. In any other case stereotyping can lead to insults and disrespect. I'm against that. Frank Miller is an alcoholic racist who stereotypes in order to insult, not to entertain. The fact that you fail to see this proves how "artists" such as movie makers, comic book writers, etc. can get away with subliminal messages of hatred.

  • just prior to the release of 300, Frank Miller made the following statement:"nobody seems to be talking about who we're up against, and the sixth century barbarism that they represent. These people saw people's heads off. They enslave women, they genitally mutilate their daughters.. I'm speaking into a microphone that never could have been a product of their culture, and I'm living in a city where three thousand of my neighbors were killed by thieves of airplanes they never could have built."

  • @Shahin2102 This comment proves what America's up against: total idiocy.

This assfuck Frank Miller refers to the Achaemenid Persians as if they were fucking muslims. And even if they fucking were,in present day Iran there is no such thing as genital mutilation, neither are women enslaved, unless he refers to Iran's fascist government which has the entire population enslaved, not only women. The microphone may not be a product of our culture, but human rights are.

  • @Shahin2102 The fact that this motherfucker, Miller, is protected by laws that allow him to speak freely, to practice whatever religion he wants, to insult a whole nation without being punished for it is due to the Achaemenid Persians who INVENTED human rights and applied them to the conquered. As for his "three thousand neighbours", they were killed by arab terrorists, not by the Persian people which he gladly insults.

  • @Shahin2102 FUCK YOU FRANK MILLER YOU IGNORANT PIECE OF SHIT!! I PISS ON YOUR SO CALLED ART AND HOPE YOU ROT IN HELL YOU ZIONIST ASSFUCK!!!!

  • @Shahin2102 Penn: SHUT, THE FUCK, UP!

  • @ItsMeWario2 keep it down doggy.

  • I LOVE the movies and even commercials he directed .... The Best Ever

  • wow he sounds like Billy Quizboy from Venture Bros.

  • It's sad how his new work is total shit for the most part, but nobody who likes comics can deny the classics he's produced.

  • 0:10 masterpiece

  • frank miller best !!

  • frank miller is a master cartoonist. Unlike all the ridiculous comic artists today paying way too much attention to detail spending hours decorating one little panel. His work is sophisticated simplicity just like the comic artists from the golden age and shortly after. Just like Japanese calligraphy ,it takes yearss to master. He is just as much a master of telling stories with visuals as he is with words.

  • @iluvijah123 Have you read DK2? He sorta fuck it up with too much simplicity

  • @iluvijah123 Thank god I'm not the only one who likes Frank's style because he sacrifices detail for composition. Makes me feel I'm doin' SOMETHIN' right, haha.

  • Frank Miller can write a masterpiece but his slang just bugs me.

  • Frank Miller is a genius. I just wish he would start writing again! Because he seems to just write stuff, in order to make money. There's nothing hungry about anything that he's written within the last 10 years.

  • Miller's fantastic, i've got all the sin city books and 300. His run on Dardevil is great.

  • Amazing Frank Miller !

  • Miller's "Ronin" would make a great movie. Listen up, Zack Snyder.

  • Frank Miller is fucking awesome and has been one of the most influential writers and artists of the last 30+ years. The End.

  • frank miller is the shit his art work is unique his story telling is unique i love this guys shit man dont hate people originality is his most admirable trait. most people out there arent that way.

  • dude his gonna get assassinated when the movie xerxes comes out next year lol

  • Regardless of how you might feel about him, Ronin is still one of those books that everybody ought to see. Sure we all love the Dark Knight returns. But Ronin? Man it's true the shackles really come off there. Go out and buy the coffee table sized edition, you WON"T be disappointed!

  • hes got it all something rare. He also writes for guys quite vividly.Hes also a pioneer and i believe ahead of his time.

  • most people dont like miller's art but i find it unique and charming... cant wait til his next actual COMICBOOK comes out

  • Frank Miller is like a Jimi Hendrix of comics, or something to that effect. He's easily one of the foremost contributors to the creativity of what comics were in the 70'-80's, and have been, ever since. It will be a while before a creator of his caliber arises again in comic books or perhaps, any other form of writing. Bravo, Frank; you've been a great motivation for me.

  • I have alot of Frank Miller in my comic/graphic novel collection and he's a big inspiration whenever I draw!

  • @skeptic91 I Believe most people Look at Frank Miller more as a writer than an artist.

  • @phiveson That is true phiveson, I just can't get over one of his Daredevil covers got over $100G, that's just insane...

  • @phiveson His wrighting is all fantasy.. he shouldn't wright history if he doesn't know anything about it

  • Comment removed

  • @skeptic91 rot in hell

  • @skeptic91 Frank Miller is one of my favourite artist's and he Is a just as good writer. You can go stick Frank Frazetta up your ass. Frank Miller have a unique original style that creates a special atmosthphere. If you don't like him then just shut the fuck up, the man Is a true artist. I guess boring people that just stick to the traditonal stuff like you can't see what a creative genius this man Is.

  • @skeptic91 , so, Picasso wasn´t a pintor eighther?, or van gogh?.

  • @skeptic91

art can be good or bad depending on the eye observing it. No one can say this art is good or bad, only an opion.

  • Comment removed

  • @skeptic91 its a style. You never 'learn' to draw. Theres no set way to draw.

  • @skeptic91 He is considered one of the best comic contemporary artists...

  • a true revolutionary in the in the industry
