  • rusty was your uncle!!!! wow! he was great, man! the current cactus isnt even a shadow of the band Rusty was in. that first album is a classic and has lost none of its power.

  • Awesome band.

I used to listen to these guys all the time. Evil, Alaska, Bag Drag, Restrictions...

    Great tunes.

  • THIS IS JUST GREAT!

  • these guys owned the crowd!!!

  • Probably my ALL time favorite song, I wore out at least 2 of these albums back in high school, I still have the 2 worn out albums here, Killer Song, thanks for posting this.... Gotta Love YouTube....

  • My uncle Rusty was the singer of this awesome band.....

  • He was a gift to all of us. R.I.P. Rusty

  • @Circuit7Active Cactus deffinitly was great-I saw them 4 times with Rusty.Sad way to die, him, his son etc!Just FY I:Your pics are a bit behind. This is Cactus Phase 2.

This version of Bad Mother Boogie was recorded in Puerto Rico-April of 72-and Mccarty and Rusty Day were no longer with the band.Pete French was on Vocal,Werner Fritzshings on Guitar and Duane Hitchings on Kyboard.I was very dissapointed to hear Rusty and Jim had left but I hear Jim is now touring with Carm&Tim When he is avail.

  • @Circuit7Active AMEN!

  • your uncle rusty rocked!!

  • @TheSkullGame

Your uncle was an amazing vocalist. Had he stayed around he would have been in the ranks of Steve Marriott and Paul Rogers.

I STILL don't understand why this band never got the recognition it deserved.

  • @TheOldskier One would think that it is Steve Marriott.

  • @TheSkullGame thats very nice he is assome singer

  • @TheSkullGame was talking to Banner Thomas (bassist for the original Molly Hatchet Band) he said your uncle had a great voice,he loved it. they were good friend's til the end.

  • @TheSkullGame God bless your uncle! I grew up on Cactus.. Rusty was the REAL DEAL!!!!!!!! and what a band!! I love his lyrics..."i'm from detroit where the boogie was born!" RIP, RUSTY

  • Sorry to inform you but in 1972 when Ot 'n' Sweaty album was released Peter French was the vocalist of Cactus.
