@asdfxyz1 Yes, they are expensive - unfortunately. I purchased the AquaSoil online. It's not really available in the regular US pet stores - only a few stores highly specialized in aquatic plants may carry it. It's about the same with the Red Sea brand, Flora Base. Good luck!

@asdfxyz1 It's not gravel. it is pelleted earth - AquaSoil brand, made in Japan. Red Sea brand makes a similar product named Flora Base.
