I agree with Lakoforna. I am italian too, I am a female standard dancer, and I often take lesson with Simona and Fabio. They are really great dancers, they were more times finalist of World Champions Professional Standard and Blackpool. Yes, he is a very strong man and dancer..but not like you think. ;-)
if you are a male dancer you can understand. the "macho man" in this video is a famous dancer.he isn't a macho man and arrogant. i know him...is very nice! the lady don't throw around him like a toy....they are doing a program, made by figures. the man don't dominate....he is who that have a major responsability in the couple....the couple is like a picture: we can say that the man is the frame and the woman is the picture....
A feminist would never be able to dance with one of these macho men anymore. Is this the new trend? the macho arrogant image of the male dancer is trying to put forth? Not that I do not like it, but I would like to know. It seems to me that the man is dominating the woman, throw her around like a toy, and the woman does not(?) seem to mind it. I am a male dancer and I would like to know. dancewu dot net
If you actually knew anything about dancing you would understand and see they have a strong connection and it's not really throwing the woman around. Sure, Fabio gives a very strong and precise lead for the actions but it's actually Simona who throws _herself_ around.
@AceyBlade This is totally true. Connection is really important and a constant challenge. Dancing International Standard is way tougher than I thought it would be.
