  • ....(from the last post)....here are several guys playing them and they have a string attached to a drum (for amplification) and then a handle that controls the pitch of the string.

    I actually own an instrument like this but don't know what it is called or quite how it is played.

    Any information would be greatly appreciated.................

    The guy on the right is playing an instrument that I've played for a long time that I know as a

    "Kanjira" (from Southern India).....usually headed with Monitor lizard skin.

    Do you know what the name of the very melodic mono-chord instrument that they are playing?

  • the weird instrument is called a bagal baccha.... dam weird and nice instrument.... believe me better than dholak... camera cant pick up the sound right... its like this membrane attached to a string you pull the string thus stretching the membrane.... you pick on it like a guitar.... nice video....thanks for putting it up.... im trying to pick up the naagin tone on my bean .... almost got it.... he he...

  • this is rajesthani music, instrument is called 'Been' and Drum is called 'Fub chu'. which normally played by the snake charmers. drum is also Punajb old instrument played in old punjabi songs.
