I first caught sight of this film through "Invasion Earth: the aliens are here", which was really wretched, but had clips from excellent old movies such as this. Anyway, in what they show in that film, you can't see that half his face is missing. That explains why everyone was screaming at the sight of him.

sorry folks but take it from this horror film historian , this like so many cheapies from the 30s-50s is still good, ah they dont make em like this anyone. i love these oldies these hooror gems these mini classics. WOTCB has it moments faults and all and folks like it or not these horror gems will be around long after us. take it for what its worth. ive seen much worse. thanks and its still a good film considering all. it made millions.TOMK

It was released on DVD as a double feature with one of the director's other films. Cult Classics: Earth vs. the Spider/War of the Colossal Beast. Type it into goodsearch and you should find a few places renting/selling it.
