Zeit: Thank you. I think bloodshed will happen. Here's why: The first thing that will happen is groups or delegations of people advocating for secession and then forming governments. The catalyst for this will be some type of economic collapse made possible by the dollar being made worthless. Race will enter the picture when these delegations don't want laws making for equality or for a welfare state with the governments they plan on forming. The federal government will be asked to intervene.

Progressive Libertarian party? Progressive is just another mask of socialism. Libertarianism is the opposite. I began travelling the libertarian road back in 1995. Now, I consider myself more of an anarchist. I don't see that government can do anything for me that I can't do for myself. With laws limiting what I can do to defend myself, I believe I am less secure under government protection than I would be without it. I am certainly poorer with the hand of government in my pocket.

If the federal government collapses financially it paves the way for break-up and civil war. What America will experience, if this happens, is a modern civil war that is no different than the civil wars in different countries that occurred in the very last part of the 20th century. It will be along racial lines. States will form along racial lines than on geographical ones. None of these states will have laws providing racial equality. Social engineering will come to an end.

Bloodshed was averted because the Soviet government was dissolved and the republics were allowed to separate. If the federal government prevents secession(if it ever reaches that point) and secession is popular among a majority of people in a certain region and minority of people are against it in that same region you will see bloodshed. The minority will side with the federal government. In order for secession to happen it first must be popular. Sentiment will be along racial lines.

Governments regulate people and consider them a resource for expansion. In order to further Governmental expansion they pass laws to restrict freedom and privacy, and increase revenue through fees, taxation, and inflation which places undue burdens on the populace.

Lett me say that from our experience in Canada, creating another party that effectively splits the right can actually put the liberals in power perpetually until the right is reunited. In the end the Canadian right did reunite into a more effective party that is now in power, but it was a long winter (about ten years).

So if you shot that gang member and killed him whether he was 10 years old or 60 years old and was trying to kill you. You would still get processed by your police department. I guess our communication gap is in the context. My scenario is during an advanced state of social breakdown, like a week from tuesday(ha ha). At some point when the troubled element discover that there really is nothing, or very little, the police can do to stop them all hell will break loose. At which point response time to 911 calls will be 5 out of 10 calls get a response, the others.....well you know.

Going back to the states having more authority than the federal government would be the best thing to do. It would stop the ridiculous spending and give the US population more choices and freedom. They could live where gov't had less influence on their lives (like wyoming) or more (Like Mass.) depending on thier own philosophies and have more influence of their local politicians.

The best way to avoid corporate fascism is to stop businesses from becoming big corporations. Small corporations, no monopoly, more competition and progress. You could allow joint projects under public scrutiny to avoid cartels. The July 4th protests were bigger and wider spread then the April 15th rallies. The media completely ignored them.

this isnt the cowboys vs. the redskins, this is our country. our federal tax money goes toward servicing the debt and the military industrial complex. they do not provide us services with that money. the slew of other taxes we pay do that. and i didnt lose anything. i'm a real democrat who didnt vote for the corporate candidate

A leading Economist published some ststistics prior to the election that were alarming. 45% of Americans pay no income tax, voting Americans. Because they generate no income.
