  • i dont even want to go into ocs i just want to be a DI

  • @messier319 lucky for you, DI's don't go to ocs, they go to bootcamp.

  • As current enlisted member, it's good to see Marine Officers putting themselves in the shoes of the candidates to get them through something

  • i got about 27 days left till Boot camp :)

  • The tube is pretty short

  • that old marine looks like he can kick anyones ass even at an old age XD

  • that tube part looks....

  • nathaniel fick?

is that the real guy from generation kill?

  • @MobiusInfinity117 it sure is. I recommend his book: One Bullet Away. damn good book.

  • it is my opinion all officers ar desk jockeys but if u come out of canoe u youve done 4 years of training its pretty good if u a college boy straigt to ocs then ur just a shitbag but aint nothing like 13 weeks on the island go getcha some real d.i. p.t. then become a mustang i would say you have really earnes leadership if its done the mustang way

  • @oem204 Yes because p.t makes leadership right. come on!

  • We do a "leadership reaction course" in the Canadian Forces too but its called the LPAC. When I did my officer training in St. Jean sur Richelieu I had the one where you had to get across a blown bridge with the chains and the ammo box. There were like 8 others too, really cool.

  • Im gonna join but just seeng the muddy tube makes me re think that

  • @pimp563727 If you are scared of a muddy tube, do not join the Corps!

  • that marine that is talking a lot about it all and when he said if i could not trust him with my own son or daughter i will not trust him with your that show how good a leader he really is i would do the same thing he said

  • that Colonel was hilariously articulate. only increases my respect for the corps.

  • yea i always wondered how the americans trained their officers and how the existing ones acted. i must say, i am very impressed. hoorah from canada

  • hahahahah i remember the E-Course. That freaking sucked. so much worse than the stamina course. And chase was a badass.

  • That tube thing must suck!!!

  • @SleepyDaBear its a short ass tube tho

  • @Kelertasable - it may look that way, but after running several miles up and down hills and obstacles in boots and with your rifle, you are exhausted by the time you get there. You'd be surprised. Trust me though -- I know -- I had to go through that muck myself.

  • pays2beAwinner - get your head out of your ass. Marines will respect you if really care about them and set the example as you should, regardless of being a mustang or not. "It's validated by the young Marines you lead." - Col Chase. I know that feeling of respect from my Marines....and I know dumbass mustangs who their Marines absolutely despise b/c they think being prior enlisted makes them invincible. don't get so cocky, OK?

  • You're an officer?

  • @Rossoneri83 while serving i had two officers who i respect and admire as great leaders. one was a mustang and one was not. so i agree with you.

  • don't send even topless or nube photo period, because might cause get into trouble.

  • That's tough...

  • the majority of Officers are straight out of College so you dont respect the majority of your officers? right....

  • Lol, in a way, he is right. Still, you have to respect your officers, no matter what. But every marine has their own opinion. Think of it, would you feel more comfortable with an officer that was a enlistee than an officer that was straight out of high school then went to NROTC or a person that was enlisted and did mecep?

  • No he is not, officers arent straight out of High School either. They go to college then some do OCC or OCS or ROTC. Its not easy to become an offier the Drill Instructors are very selective and weed out all Candidates that arent capable of leading Marines but yes its true that most of the prior enlisted guys are very good officers because they have experience

  • OCS? I thought all services required a college education or ROTC to be an officer.

  • You have to be in college or already have a degree to attend OCS. Even if you are in NROTC you must attend OCS to become a Marine officer.

  • my boyfriend is in parris island now so I'm loving this!!!

  • keep him motivated and send him letters

  • send him moto pics as well keke, yes that means you topless or nude
