I loved this show as a kid. I was so pissed when stupid NBC took it off the air. They did it AGAIN with Heroes. Fu**ing idiots!! Now all that's on TV anymore is dumbass reality shows. TV sucks nowadays.

Wow! I've been trying to remember what this show was called for years! I was the only one who recalled it. I remember sitting in my grandmas bedroom waiting for night rider to come on and this comes on instead. I was hooked. Thanks for posting this.

Thought of this today, so fun to watch, still to this day when I see my brother in law, we give each other a ridiculous "AMEEEELIA!" call out, we thought that was just a hilarious part of this totally cheesy, totally 80's TV show. Love it.

When i first saw this show, i was like 5-6 years old...with ZERO understanding of English...and all i can remembered were the show's title has word "misfits" into it, the teens all have superpowers like shooting electricity from his fist and a girl that can "throw" enemies away...sadly i cant remember anything else!

it took me almost 20 years later to finally find the title of this series and utube-searched the video....this show was sadly aired before its time...it'd be a hit if its aired today

Actually the way I heard it was she got the call after going for a casting call and Paul dean martin the lead of the show befriended her...(Cortney Cox) he even helped her to find her an apt.

I had forgotten that Courteney Cox was on this. I definitely remember her being on Family Ties before she hit it big with Friends. I believe that she got this show as a result of appearing in Bruce Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark video, as the fan in the audience of his concert who gets pulled up onstage by him and proceeds to dance with him towards the end of the song.

Upon searching for the name of this series, I found out the 2 guys playing the doctors who set out to find people with supernatural powers died not too long after the show went off the air. One died a year or so after cancellation in a plane crash and the other died in 1991 of AIDS. Sad.

I love how shameless a riff on Ghostbusters this show was. Hearse? Check. Sassy secretary making glib jokes about supernatural clients? Check. Fun, but completely derivative. Maybe it would have lasted if they'd have managed to get it on the air in the fall of '84. Lulz.

Wouldn't it be interesting if Misfits of Science was set in the same universe of Heroes, the other tv show by Tim Kring?

Maybe that would explain how Samson Gray (Sylar's dad) got telekinesis? He met Courtney Cox's character and overpowered her, killed her and took her power, much like how Sylar killed Brian Davis and stole his telekinesis.
