…How about the fact that when Anthony Johnson died the courts allowed his land to be seized by a white Virginian planter. The court ruled that Anthony Johnson was “ a negro and by consequence, an alien”…I will never understand why conservatives, let alone a black man would try to use a situation like this one to minimize the tragedy of white oppression of blacks and others throughout history and all over the world…like as if the Johnson vs Casor situation makes it a little less evil...WOW!

@robtjonz the difference between then and now is simple,overt then, covert now.just because lynching blacks in public is no longer socialy acceptable doesnt mean inequalities no longer exist.in 2010 almost 80% of all arrests made in this country were...umm white people...but yet blacks make up....ummm 60% of the prison population while whites make up only 13% of the people in prison....these are department of justice stats by the way...first thoughts buddy...we're just more criminal right
