My mom worked for TWA right before they closed in the mid-to-late-90s. It was great, she flew free and we as family flew for about $20. Because of their headquarters, the layovers were always in St. Louis, so anytime we had a long layover (more than a couple of hours), we'd take the train into downtown St. Louis. Fun times. :-)
@tvpirate05 No offense, but technically, TWA didn't close, but was bought out by Ft. Worth-based AMR Corp. and merged into American Airlines. And by now, American only serves 7 airports from St. Louis. Ironically, the airline currently with the biggest presence in St. Louis is another Texas-based airline: Dallas-based Southwest Airlines.
PAN AM and TWA Lives....... they will be back oh yes THEY WILL
