  • Nice Video. ^^

  • Just enlighten me as i must have missed something, what was NICE about that vid?

  • The livelihood project.... Seafdec is really helpful to the guimaras people.

They educate people and train them for better living. Training them with modern ways of aquaculture is really good. I wish could also help them.

  • Fish farming is a filthy disgusting industry. If you are eating shrimp today it most certainly comes from a turbid , pesticide - and - antibiotic filled, virus - riddden pond in the tropical climes of one of the world's poorest contries Land reclaimed for fish farming which for years to grow rice can never be used for growing crops again due to the use of chemicals.

It is a destruction of the environment , and a poisonous food. Christmas 2004 tsunami was a disaster waiting to happen .

  • Shimp farming is a rape-and-run industry. Rape the enviroment, make maximum profit , move on. People who run the countries will not be working in twenty years, the victims, the fisherpeople, will be. Don't be so blind when you think prawn farming is the answer to all your problems, it creates more.Tamil Nadu for example, destruction of mangroves and paddies, fouling of drinking water with heavy chemicals, infection of wild fish with antibiotic-resistant pathogens.

    Do your homework timtam006

  • I don't know what you're trying to tell me. ^^

Seems like your too smart but you lack experience.

    Do you do aquaculture, Sir?

  • I'm telling you the facts, don't you like what you read? No I don't do aquaculture, that doesn't stop me knowing about it. Farmed shrimp succumb to , and carry , a malignant palette of maladies.Black-splinter, brown gills, white spot virus and sky blue discoloration have all wiped out Asian shrimp crops at one time or another. Were it not for the frequent application of heavy duty chemicals, shrimp would not survive a single season in the overcrowded , artificial setting of an aquaculture pond.

  • Why do you keep talking about the "shrimps"? LOL~

    Anyways, thanks for the info~
