  • Born and raised there. Actually lived on Dooley St.. The bay was the home of about 80 Fishing boats that are no longer there. Its heyday was in the 50's and early 60's. Its all gone now. During the 40's there were Navy PT boats parked opposite Stella Marris and there were soldiers and sailors walking on Emmons Ave.. daily. Mc Guiness, Tappens, Seidels, Marine Hardware, Toms Log Cabin, Randazzo's fish Market, Lundy's, Pappas's, Joe's Clam Bar, Mike' Tackle shop, et.al., those were the days.
