I understand Jon had severe respiratory problems sometime in '07 and has recovered to the point he tours alone and with Rick W. - may he continue to sing and love in good health.
Oh Yes! it`s Chris that is not in (singing)tune in the middle! Although it was always difficult to handle the voices of Squire and Howe acurately when singing together, ask Eddie Offord!
This is a great live version, but the "hallucination" part (piano+bass with the three singing) isn't as great as on the record... I think it's Chris's voice.... other than that, awesome version!
i love yes and all prog really, I'm 19...most of my friends don't understamd my penchant for this music because the musicians "are old"...I just reply that "you haven't got to have sex with them, just listen to the music". Crude but I think it gets the point across nicely
@theorytest5 hey man im 14 and im girl. and im obsessed wit them. all my friends think its weird. cause it doesnt have rap. or cursing. and imlike.. dude. its AMAZING. music. just listen to it. i agree wit you compleatly.
they look so old and out of it. I've seen other performances of this song (which they've only done in the last couple of years) which are much better than this.
Is it just me or does Alan White receive an apallingly small amount of credit for his work with yes? So many people seem to think of Bruford as the "real" yes drummer despite his shhort time in the band. Alan plays this better here than Bill did on the record
Bill Brofurd on a technical level is a much higher level to White. Sure White can rock but he cannot play a jazz riff or any of beat pattern. When I saw ABHW Bruford pushed the group to a more musical level.
Totally agree with you... White is definitely a rock drummer, while Bruford is into jazz, which I think fits Yes more. I mean, just look at he does on Heart of the Sunrise, it's freakin incredible! White would not be able to do that...
Don't get me wrong, White is an -awesome- drummer and plays very well with Yes, but I find Bruford's technique a lot more involving and fits with the rest of the band perfectly.
I totally agree, just listen to White's playing on Starship Trooper from the live record Yessongs. He is an amazing drummer, however, I disagree that White plays it better than Bruford did on the record. White brings his own interpretation, but Bruford brought a real progressive element to the song and so many of Yes' classics.

Rick Wakeman once said in an interview that health wise, he's in a better state now than when he was in his twenties.

Probably a 5.1 mix sent down to stereo; Steve doing the bass and Chris doing the tenor is stronger than Jon's voice.

I wanna climb through the internet, go back in time, and tell these guys to SPEED IT UP.
Other than that, always cool to see Yes play... thx for the upload.

I agree. At this tempo, they'll never make it to the top of the mountain before the song ends ;)

Rick Wakeman is THE keyboard wizard, I mean he looks like a wizard, dresses like one, and plays magic on the keyboard!

I think Bill is an inventive drummer but I think Alan is more solid drummer.

This is better than the shows at Camdem, Radio City Hall, Glastonbury Festival, Montreux, MSG, and Tsongas because you see Chris kind of dancing.
