  • I'm the age where I remember this first time round and it pisses me when they bring "Dad's Music" CDs out at Xmas. This is still better than anything out today.

  • Siouxsie had the original "smokey eye"

  • 1979!! awesome

  • Love the bit at the end where she takes someone's head off with the mike stand..

  • Shes amazing <3

  • Classic Raw Banshees!

  • Excellent vintage Siouxsie, why do people complain?

  • Wonderful!

  • This fucker, won't except my comment,

    shity youtube bastards

  • This is a live performance!!!! So it's not gonna sound like the record. Have you ever been to a gig before? If you don't like it fuck off 'n' watch some over produced pop music video instead, nobhead!

  • This is actually better than the recorded version imo, more faster and ugent with an edge that blows my mind, i love it!!

  • @cliffy666 epic answer wins ;)

  • would have thought the description "Live on 70's t.v show Something Else in 1979." would have been enough.

  • @L7freak

    seriously, you suck.

  • @L7freak

    you are an idiot

  • fantastic song, and excellent quality as well.

    5 stars.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Robert ehehee, is Fofoooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Very good performance by Siouxise and the Banshees. Nice to see Robert as well.

  • smith played with them on that live at albert hall Lp,about 83,84

  • Robert Smith stepped in after John McKay left after the infamous bust-up in an Aberdeen record store in 1979. He was with the Cure who were Siouxsie And The Banshees' support act and so played for both during the rest of that tour. Then when John mcGeoch became ill he rejoined the Banshees at the end of 1982 for a year or two when they recorded Hyaena.

  • Ok, I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure he was doing the two at some point? He's most definitely part of the Hyeana album and that wasn't til '84.... so I like to think he popped in now and again when others were being a little unreliable. You can hear his influence on Swimming Horses - quite beautifully.

  • correct. He did have his hands in both bands. And yes he was on the hyeana album in 84.And in 85 he went full time The Cure.

  • she was my idol when i was a teenager

  • She is my idol, and I'm 21 XD Good music never dies.

Just notice Siouxsie did only this song in true punk style, then the rest is new wave already... =)

  • Siuoxsie is the godess of punk

  • good stuff! music isnt what is was

  • It is Robert Smith on this clip, the cure were support band for this tour, and when band member s mckay and morris walked out at beginning, he stepped in as replacement guitarist!

  • Ive seen rOBERT AND the Cure in 1981 83 86 so rOBERT WAS DEFINITLY PLAYING WITH the CURE NEVER JOINED THE banshees!!!!ONLY FOR THAT GIG

  • Oh dear we need to do some homework don't we josepolo950?

  • I think Iknow what u mean.Iwent to india in jan.79 and came back in81 .I never knew. But the point I was making was that RSmith was the singer and guitarist from around 81 with the CURE and not with the banshees like modi said earlier.

  • He played with the Banshees in 1979 for one tour while McGeoch was ill.

  • thank you !!!!!I was almost right then!!!!

  • I love her in this everything about this song is wonderful.
